"My wife and I travel often and we have never received a more warm and hospitable welcome than from Neva and her husband. The house is amazing, built in the 1500’s and nicely updated. The location is convenient to explore the area and in a small cute town high on a hill. We made new friends during our visit and it was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend if you are looking for a central home base for a few days and would like to meet some wonderful people."

"Just home from 2 weeks at this lovely villa - it is immaculate, spacious and one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. The pool and garden are perfect. "A lovely house in the Istrian countryside. Close to supermarkets and restaurants and within easy reach of beaches and beautiful towns. The house is very well kept and organised with plenty of room. "The Villa Maria is amazing, we had a thoroughly relaxing time. The pool was very well used by us all but especially my 2 children, the Villa has everything you need for a stress free holiday. You definitely need a car as it is so remote but in our opinion this added to the charm. The owners Valmi and Andreja were fantastic throughout. I would highly recommend the Villa Maria, my youngest is 9 and she loved it. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Valmi and Andreja."

"Really beautifully renovated building. Modern kitchen/ bathrooms but nice thick stone walls too! Hosts were friendly, generous and always responded quickly to any questions. Centrally located so most sites we wanted to see were 30-45 min drive away from the house. Swings in the backyard were great for our kids!"
