Welcomed at checkin. Host knowledgeable total welcome atmosphere. Dinner superb. Only drawback was they forgot to turn off the sunset in order to see the northern lights.

Das Hotel ist nicht direkt schlecht, aber es hat ein sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Zimmer ist klein, hat weder ein Bild an der Wand noch einen Fernseher, noch nicht mal Trink- oder Zahnputzgläser. Dafür haben wir über 34 000 Kronen bezahlt, das sind knapp 240 Euro, und das ohne Frühstück! Das war das mit Abstand schlechteste Hotel in Island, das wir hatten

The host kept the kitchen open because we got in so late. Very much appreciated. The room was tiny as was the bathroom, but it was only for one night. Room was quiet and very clean. Comfortable bed.

Very friendly staff. We had an early whale watching trip one of the mornings and the staff let us into the breakfast bar early so we could have breakfast and still make it to the boat in time.

Das Hotel ist ein Disaster, null Organisation: Wir kamen um 15:55 Uhr am Hotel an, Check-In war ab 16 Uhr angegeben Wir fanden ein leeres Hotel vor, und selbst nach 30 Minuten gab es kein Anzeichen einer Kontaktperson, auch nicht nach mehrmaligen Anrufen bei der angegebenen Kontaktnummer. Nach einer Stunde warten (es waren 3 weitere Autos mit uns auch am warten) meldete sich eine Person zurück und sagte, sie wäre nach 10 Minuten da. Nach 10 Minuten kam diese Person auch, sagte nur ein kaltes „Sorry“ und mehr gab es da nicht, keine aufrichtige Entschuldigung, gar nichts. Wir durften dann ganz normal unsere Übernachtungsgebühr in vollem Preis bezahlen. Am nächsten Morgen ging es gleich weiter: Wir kamen zum (extra gegen Aufpreis bezahlten) Frühstück, alle Tische waren voll mit benutztem Geschirr, daraufhin mussten wir erstmal unseren Tisch selbst abräumen und abwischen. Danach durften wir wieder 15 Minuten auf Geschirr warten, da keines vorhanden war und auch keine Ansprechperson in Reichweite war. Hier wird auf die Gäste keine Rücksicht genommen und Service ein Fremdwort.

Nice little Hotel/Guesthouse. Staff was very kind and helpfull. The rooms are in good shape. Only limited TV channels but to be honest who is in Iceland for watching TV! Surrounding is great as you have the Dettifoss and other nice viewpoints in the near surrounding. They serve a breakfast in the morning which was good. Not too overloaded but a selcetion for everyone.
