"We were blown away by how unique the whole experience was and how hospitable the hotel staff was. We were given slippers and traditional robes when we arrived and our luggage was carried to the room for us. Our room was very quaint with a whole tea setup prepared at the table. "The people is extremely warm and welcoming, including reception and the lady serving us from check in to dining. The young lady can speak english, we have a great time there. We use the public onsen before dinner so there are not much people. The private onsen in the room also great, but will be a bit small if two people bath together. Will definitely recommend this place to people who want to experience Japanese traditional onsen culture and dining. "

"Not bad "

"Our room was amazing. We loved having our private onsen, and took every opportunity to use it to relax and rejuvenate our bodies. Both of us felt very taken care of, and it was the highlight of our Japan trip. It was nice to be able to slow down and recuperate. That being said. If you have an allergy to a certain food, make sure you let them know in advance so they can prepare your breakfast properly (they start preparing breakfast the day before, so if you didn't tell them in advance, they can't change it). "

"Great place to stay near the train station. The staff were nice and there are a lot of free amenities offered. It was quiet, we could not hear any street traffic. Would recommend this hotel. Only recommendation is the clothes dryers didn’t really dry. Dried for 1.5 hours and they were still wet. Maybe this is just Japanese dryers?"

"The facilty is old & the room smelled of cigarettes, but everything else was wonderful. If looking for authentic Japanese experience (for the working and middle class Japanese) this is a very good experience. Dinner and breakfast buffet was really good. However there's little to do around the lake, unlike Yamashiro ir Yamanaka onsen area. "
