Great place for a visitor. I prefer a place with a kitchen but none were available. Claw tub with a shower is not my thing but that is me. Great view nice place.

Crab Festival Weekend

Stayed one night. Couples trip by Reasonably mobile/active seniors. Photos on site are accurate. Comfortably sized room with nice amenities in safe and quiet location. Jessica was very responsive and helpful. Stairs are required to access this unit. Kodiak harbor is about 15 -20 min walk (no steep grade). Also under 5 min walk to the Bean and Bloom coffee shop-on the channel by the bridge. A pleasant and comfortable spot with large windows to watch eagles, fish, otters, boats, planes. Queen mattress was firm and cotton sheets were comfy. Water pressure was good. Tap water safe to drink and tastes fine. Unfortunately, there’s not enough hot water in the tank to enjoy the large bathtub (which I was looking forward to). Water became tepid before 1/2 full. Lovely view from the bed of the channel and woods which creates a secluded feeling. Window shades are nice but not “black out”. So, if you need it very dark to sleep, bring an eye mask in the long summer daylight season. Enjoyed the covered outdoor porch. Art was all from Alaskan artists. Did not use the tv. A couple of plates or bowls would be a nice addition. It would have been nice to be able to drop our packs off in a secure location prior to check in so we wouldn’t have to carry them around most of the day, but that’s small potatoes. Taxi from airport was under 25. Enjoyed & would recommend.
