One night stay at Kochi
We were on our way back from a 5 day trip and stayed here for one night to visit Kochi. We stayed here on New Year's eve. The hotel seemed to be very popular amongst International guests. The front desk people are very polite and helpful and the overall staff is very friendly. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are good size. We had arrived before check in time, but they worked with us and helped us get our rooms early. They have their own restaurant wherein we enjoyed our lunch. We had stepped out during the evening to watch Kerala Kathakali show (walking distance from the hotel) so had dinner outside. However we enjoyed their breakfast buffet. There were many food options ranging form continental to Indian/south Indian food. All food was freshly prepared and was hot and delicious. You could also order food from a list wherein they will prepare it for you in the kitchen. It ranged from dosa, omelets, stuffed paratha. We really liked the ambience. They also have arrangements for a free historic walking tour in the neighborhood starting at 7am. We really enjoyed the walk. Overall a good stay, will probably stay longer on our next visit to enjoy other hotel amenities.

Three wonderful days in Fort Kochi
Fort kochi is a beautiful heritage hotel, well maintained and full of wonderful history. It is furnished tastefully and has much charm. The staff in all sections are amazing, every staff member we dealt with from the gentleman who opened the main door to us on arrival, to the staff who attended to us in our rooms, in the bar, reception and restaurant were exceptional. The complementary breakfast and afternoon tea were such a bonus. The only negative comment - I wish we could have some daylight in the room. You can open the windows but then run the risk of mosquitoes entering. But this did not detract from a wonderful stay.

Forte Kochi is a beautiful property located on a quiet street yet close to shops, cafes, and historic sites. The rooms are gorgeous, esthetically and thoughtfully decorated. The staff and service is extraordinary. Mr. Chacko at the front desk is efficient and courteous. We would return to this heritage hotel in a heartbeat

A gem in a great location.
Lovely old hotel in the old section of Kochi. Staff were fabulous… Very helpful & friendly. Great manager, Jerin. Great location! Wonderful food. Big, beautiful comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It was one of the best hotels that we stayed in during our month in India

A quaint heritage property made good for a relaxing stay in Fort Kochi area. The hotel is walking distance to many interesting places to visit and a short rickshaw ride away to the spice market and heritage monuments. The hotel caters to families and couples alike but solo travelers may find it a tad boring! The friendly staff do look after you. The welcome drink was a lovely glass of fresh black grape juice and it brought back lovely memories of travelling & living in Kerala. They offer a complimentary morning walking tour around the heritage sites. We gave that a miss due to the rains and other plans we made but I would recommend that to anyone going there for the first time. Areas we felt needs to be looked into are - 1) Slippery floors and steps during monsoon season! 2) Restaurant food tends to be catered to non-Indians so made slightly less authentic in spice levels. 3) Coffee and Tea served in the restaurant missed the mark! Overall, my family and I would definitely go back there the next time we’re in Fort Kochi!

Beatiful oasis at Fort Kochi
Beautiful boutique hotel with good location. Service was smooth and friendly. Backyard and rooms extremely beautiful. Just excellent for relaxation after busy working days and easy to reach several top attractions in Kochi.

Great location and beautiful setting
The location of the hotel not far from the port and close to the coastline was ideal. It is on a nice quiet street but walking distance to many tourist attractions and good places to eat. Excellent location and a very nice property. Suggest you upgrade for the nicer room. It is worth it.

Wonderful stay, beautiful building and rooms with amazing art all over the place. Would highly recommend anyone staying here. The rooms are on the more expensive side but totally worth it if you can afford it.

I loved the people who worked here, especially Arpana! They were all so helpful an genuinely kind. The pool is spectacular! The chai and snacks by the pool will never be forgotten. The food at dinner with the poolside musicians playing traditional South Indian music was delightful and relaxing as well. I would definitely come back.

Probably the best hotel in Fort Kochi.
Forte Kochi hotel is located very close to the beach. It is beautifully renovated old house with wonderful tiles, great pool,antique furniture and great atmosphere. Traditional "tea" is served every day from 16:00 to 18:00 and live Indian music is played every day at the pool side from 20:00 to 21:00. The food is great and presented in very pleasant way. Staff is doing everything possible to please the guests- we were going on a tour and asked to get breakfast 30 minutes before the offical time and were told there is no problem. We also got lunch boxes when we were not able to have breakfast . Thank you Jarin and Ameer for your attitude.

40 unwanted guests in our room
We were bouncing around hotels in Fort Kochi and we spent one night here. The welcome was great and they served us fresh coconut water out of a coconut which I thought was more local (tip: ask them to cut it up for you after you're done drinking it for the coconut meat). They have a nice pool, which is amazing if you have been out touring or even if you haven't! The heat gets to you, even in December, and being able to dip into a pool makes a difference. They serve tea and local snacks by the pool which were really good. My only complaint/warning was that our room directly next to the old Jewish Baptism Bath (Mikveh?) which is super cool to maintain on the property since its a great piece of history. But, I have a hunch, it's also the reason that upon checking into our room we were greeted by ~40 mosquitoes. (Not an exaggeration, I counted) We were told that it was the season and I requested a zapper tennis racket and spent the first hour chasing mosquitoes while my wife looked miserable imagining what the night would be like. I spoke to other people staying there and they were on a higher floor and hadn't had the same issue so, either the room door was open while it was being cleaned and all the mosquitoes got in. After the killing spree, the rest of the stay was fine, we spent quite a bit of time at the hotel after we checked out and the staff was super nice to us all the way to arranging for us to get a taxi when we had a hard time getting uber/ola to respond.

Lovely boutique hotel
We had a lovely stay at forte kochi hotel. The food was excellent. Bed super comfortable. Room was clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Only problem was mosquitoes. The hotel does smoke them out and has rid repellant available but I would suggest that you bring your own mosquito repellent also. Particularly if you want to use a spray to kill the mosquitoes the hotel does not have this on hand. That said, they try their best to keep the mosquitoes away and we did not get bitten during our stay here. The hotel now has a bar and is licensed. It was lovely siting round the pool having a drink and dinner. Forte kochi is an all round great hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if in kochi in the future.

The most quaint hotel with the best staff I have ever experienced. So polite, professional always alert and wanting to be of service. Evert interaction we had we each staff member was always above and beyond. The actual hotel is sooo beautiful. We felt like we were at home it was small and sweet. I highly recommend this hotel.

Three nights in Kochi
The hotel is well located in a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the Main Street, harbour and street stalls. The staff team is committed to making your stay as pleasant as possible and go out of their way to help. The food is good and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately the hotel does not yet have its alcohol licence so you can’t enjoy a glass of wine with dinner. The rooms are quite dark and vary in size so worth paying a bit more for a better room. The beds are small doubles but the bedding and towels are great quality. The courtyard/ pool area is lovely to sit quietly and relax.

Perfect location in Fort Kochi. It’s just beautiful! Heritage hotel with mordern conveniences. Staff are all friendly and nice. We had our “bird friends” on our roof which made some noise at night and at first we were scared but soon became part of the ambience. Many thanks to Gloria, Dopika, Ameet and Jerin!

Gem in the centre of Fort Kochi.
Fantastic heritage hotel in the heart of Fort Kochi. Rooms are organized around a central pool in a historic former mansion. The staff were incredibly attentive, the room was beautiful, great breakfast and reliable wifi.We would stay there again without hesitation.
