Courteous staff member able to check us in very late after a concert which was very nice. Very spacious room with lots of activities if needed, a shame we only went there to rest our heads in Kobe! Place seems like a blast!
Easy walk from the train station, and easy to get to the main Kobe city area from there. I regret that I did not plan enough time for a sake brewery crawl, which would have been very convenient from here.
The love hotel itself is nice, and check in was possible despite us arriving at nearly 0030 after landing in Osaka at 2130. For the price paid, the room size was great. Choice of room wasn't possible, which was a minor disappointment.
The only downside was the breakfast, which was very spartan and basic, and the delivery method was not the typical non-interactive delivery we have come to expect after staying in other love hotels.
Let me start by saying the service staff of the hotel did a good job. They let me check in early without charging a fee as a courtesy, and provided a choice of breakfast which was room delivered every morning as part of my stay and no extra charge, for which I am very grateful. That said, the hotel is a strange combination of luxury and dilapidation. The floors of my room were noticeable dirty, with particulate matter and hair evidently present. There was also an issue of either bed bugs or mosquitos in the room if not both. I found and killed one mosquito, but I received a nasty, itchy bite for each night I slept there. Despite this, the bed was quite comfortable. I was also not aware prior to my visit that it is a “love hotel,” and one that is maybe past its prime in terms of cleanliness. The shower had mold everywhere and the whole place carried the stench of cigarette smoke, not to mention stains and imperfections were ubiquitous on most surfaces. The saving grace of the facility is that staff was willing to be helpful and courteous.
First off, it’s a Love Hotel, it’s adults only, and you should have a good idea what that means. I did have to use some translation apps but the service was good. As for the room, it was substantial for my 2 night stay. It is a short walk from the train station and tucked near a small “industrial type” area. There is lobby music in the halls that I could hear at times but it didn’t bother me. All in all, it was an experience and do recommend it.
