Needs more hospitality
The staff was very unfriendly upon arrival, almost seemed like it bothered them that we were there. The location is a bit aways from things that are going on in Koh Phi Phi, which wasn't a big deal but we wish it was more known on the hotel description. The rooms were very dingy and bare, our beds rolled around when we sat on them. The floor gets very sandy and at night there are a lot of mosquitoes. The room was so bare it was uncomfortable. We moved to a hotel down the road the next night.

this place is super cute and right on the beach
but just down the beach from the main pool party and bars, so it was a perfect location for us. you can hear the thumping of the music from these bars, but it was far enough away that it actually helped me sleep! we were just looking for a place to sleep, as we would be on the beach and doing activities during the day. it is on the other side from the pier, but still only less than a 10 minute walk from there. each room has your own little sitting area in front, and the rest of the hotel area is covered in greenery and flowers. it was so cute. the staff were so friendly. we were very charmed by this place.

Wonderful staff!! Hotel needs some TLC
The staff was super sweet and very attentive. The hotel was not too bad. They had a cute little treehouse with kitties to enjoy the thunderstorms in and the water came right up to the hotel. The water over here is not as blue as the rest of the island though. Our main issues were the hard as rock beds and the shower smelled of sewer water.

fine for senior citizens too.
we are a group of 5 in our 70's, 60's and 50's. the hotel has a charming garden. not too noisy from the bar next door but the ear plug did help one of the lighter sleeper in our group.

Cosy basic hotel very close to beach, bars & restaurants. Expect lots of noise from the bars until the early hours. Don't expect luxury, however everything needed was provided with the lush surroundings and great views making up for any shortcomings.

Great location, clean. Don't expect to sleep....
There is nothing Dee Dee can improve upon that is in their power; it is exactly as advertised. However, what you cannot know until staying is that there is a bar next door that plays extremely loud music until 2-3 am every night. It is so loud that it makes things vibrate within your room, and it can even be heard with earplugs in. In other words, don't expect to get any sleep until the bar shuts down. If you are on Phi Phi to party, as many are, then no problem. If you don't fancy raging until 3 am every morning, stay somewhere else.

Nice stay close to the beach but very noisy
Perfect location in terms on being right on the beach and walking distance to everything in town. However, there seem to be intense beach parties all day/night every day/night so if you're after quiet this isn't for you. Sometimes the parties run during the day but basically after 7PM it sounds like you're in the middle of the club all night every night. It's not the accommodation's fault, but you need to seriously consider if you like sleep before booking. We stayed a week and I didn't get any sleep for the entire time, with the exception of some beach naps during the day. The rooms are basic and minimal but they're nice, can't complain. You get free bottled water every day which is nice, but the shower water smells like sewerage for the first few minutes it's running so that's a bit of a concern. The staff is super nice and friendly though, and they have about 8 super sweet and friendly cats which almost made up for the horror of the noise. Not sure if I'd stay here again, but I had a decent time.

Koh Phi Phi is a party zone, and the area is very loud all night. The walls are also very thin which makes noise a problem. The beds are also pretty uncomfortable. The hotel is great for the value though, the staff is friendly, and the property is very nice.

In the middle of all the beach action.
Great hotel for those looking to party on Koh Phi Phi. The hotel is located beachside next to all of the major clubs and bars. It tends to be noisy until about 2am when the bars begin to shut down, but that's expected given the prime spot it occupies. If you're looking for a hotel close to all of the beach action, this is it. If you're looking for a quiet, beach side hotel, look elsewhere. Overall, a really good place and would recommend.

One of the best hostels on Koh Phi Phi. Not the nicest room appearance - but the best you'll find for a hostel on this island. Amazing staff who gathered their own fresh aloe vera to help heal my sunburns and called around to get me the best price for a private taxi-speedboat to the other islands.

Unforgettable place!
I loved Dee Dee Beach House, it is definitely a beach house. It is located right at the beach. The staff are amazing, Dee Dee and her daughter made us feel like home, it was very hard to leave this place. The place has so much character and it gives you the sense of being in a tropical island, if it is what you looking for, you must to experience it. The island's streets are a little like a maze at the first, but once you get settle at the island it is very easy to walk around. When you arrive it can be a little overwhelmed and the best way to find the Dee Dee is to walk along of the beach, if you don't have a lot of luggage, since is the simpler way to find the location. If you have big luggage, just keep walking through the street and ask anyone where it is located and everyone will be eager to help you to find it. The room is nice, clean, and cozy, with your own balcony, very sweet. They keep the place very clean, and quiet. We were in paradise and I hope you get the same feeling.

Close to the action - but not too close
The staff here were fantastic. They took a lot of pride in their hotel and you could see it in the small details. The location was directly on the beach, although not the nicest beach on the island. The garden area is tranquil and relaxing. The AC worked very well.

The staff is very friendly. The passage to the rooms is so green and gardenish with hammocks that you will really feel happy there. Have nothing negative to say!

On the beach - away from the noise
we had a great stay at Dee Dee! The staff is very friendly and the location is ideal. The hotel in right on the beach, but just far enough away from the craziness of the beach clubs. The rooms are basic - but you should be on the beaches anyway! The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the ferry.

Nice hotel by the beach
If you are looking for low cost hotel by the beach, this is the right one, really nice staff, help you with everything ( tours, transfer ), totally recommend. They are located to the party side of the island opposite from the pier, nice atmosphere at night if you enjoying going out for a few drinks and try a delicious local food.

Wow, what a location!
The location is perfect, right on the beach, close to everything but far enough away that its quiet. We had a perfect two day stay but could easily of done a week here. The staff were the friendliest nicest people we met in Thailand. Thanks for a wonderful birthday! Bathroom was a little basic but what can you expect on Phi Phi, there was however free Wifi that reached to our room so that was a bonus. Would recommend this on a budget!

Nice place in the wrong location.
Management and staff at Dee Dee's Beach House are incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is like a small oasis right on the beach and all day it is so peaceful and relaxing. The location is on the "party beach" so at night the loud BOOM BOOM (so loud the walls are shaking) from nearby bars goes until 2 am. If loud noises does not affect your sleeping patterns this is a great place to spend some beach time on Koh Phi Phi at.

A decent budget option on Koh Phi Phi
We stayed at Dee Dee for 5 nights. We booked a standard room for 2 people with A/C. We didn't have high expectations because we purposely booked a budget option on the island, so for us, the room was fine. It was clean and comfortable enough. It would have been nice if they cleaned the room more frequently during our stay and we didn't have to ask for toilet paper every day. We did feel that the nightly rate was still a little expensive for what we got. However, we also stayed during high season and all accommodations we looked at seemed overpriced, so I think we would have felt this way no matter where we stayed. Overall, staff were very friendly and helpful. Regarding comments about noise - we could hear the music from the beach at night time but it wasn't so loud that it kept us from sleeping, especially with the A/C on, which helped to drown out some of the noise. Overall, we liked the location of this hotel.

There was nothing special about DeeDees, it was very average (if a little bit out of the way). Beach was very dirty and loud music coming from club till well into early hours of morning made it difficult to sleep. Rooms very entirely soulless and the water was not hot (barely lukewarm).

Great hotel
We stayed here for a week. The only downside to the hotel was that there was no pick up from the pier however I sure if we had emailed our ime of arrival in advance they would have sent someone . The rooms were clean and comfortable . The garden and patios were very picturesque. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Although located close to the beach and bars the hotel wasn't too noisy and the music stopped at 1pm every night. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Me and my friend stayed here for 5 nights. I checked almost every reviews of accommodations in Koh Phi Phi and chose Dee Dee as it seemed to have the best value for the price according to the reviews. I don't know how much I should expect on Koh Phi Phi, but this place wasn't that good. First of all, if you're coming to Koh Phi Phi for parties and staying for one or two nights, this would be the best place, yes. If not, you should avoid any hostels on this side of the island. There are beach bars and the party goes on till some time around 3 or 4 in the morning and your room will also be banging till then(although Dee Dee was relatively further away from the bars). The room seemed carefully cleaned, but it was worn out. Also, tiny ants were crawling everywhere in the room including beds. I know I stayed during monsoon, but the room was way too damp even with the AC on. I don't know all other rooms in Dee Dee are the same, but the room we stayed in was small with low ceiling and minimum ventilation, so humidity just stays there. Whenever I slept with my hair wet after a shower(no hairdryer in the room) at night, I woke up with my hair still wet, which I've never experienced before. Believe me, the AC didn't do anything to the humidity, we were damp and freezing if we kept it on. Bathroom we had smelled like sewage the whole time, which wasn't pleasant. And the water was rather salty. Staffs were friendly and helpful. I somehow coped with the room so I didn't ask for another room or move to another hotel, but I cannot say it was a pleasant or satisfactory stay.

This beach house is in the perfect location which causes it to be slightly loud at night but not horrible. Rooms are simple but very clean. The courtyard is amazing, it has a small garden and hammocks. The people running this place are great and super nice. The owner chased around a cat who kept making noise with a water gun. So cool. I reccomend this place to couples who want to be close to everything but want a private room.

Great location near all the craziness of komphi phi without the crazy noise. The staff is great and the rooms are comfortable. The front porch is a great place to sit when it pours during the rainy season.

PRETTY N GREAT PLACE, AWESOME LOCATION!
PLUS POINTS: clean rooms, NO NOISE at night despite parties being on till 3-4 am, writing desk and 1 chair inside, 1 bedside table, mini fridge, safe, CCTV cameras outside in the balcony, great coffee, Great location right at the beach.. beautiful garden, mosquito coils, earthen water bowls to dip sandy feet and shoes for cleaning before entering rooms, nice staff, cheap beer..! MINUS POINTS: very springy bed - when the partner turns sides at night i woke up to what felt like an earthquake.. no cupboards - only a towel rack. ALL IN ALL: a lovely stay! I loved it! The place wins you over!

Right on the beach but not the nice beach
The main beach and Harbour part of ko phi phi is not kept clean. Even though our this beach house was on the beach, we had to trek through much trash on the beach to get there. They charged an environmental clean up fee when we got off the dock but wasn't sure how that was being used. With that said, the beach house communal area was charming, we spent the nigh there playing cards and drinking. The staff are very friendly and provided sheets to lie on by the beach. Regardless, if we go back to ko phi phi, we will make it a point to stay closer to the resort area or by long beach.
