We stayed at Chams House for sixt nights. The service was not good and the food and spa service overpriprized. A local restaurant next by the Beach had good food to a much better price. The straff did not speak good english. We had expected more from Chams House.

Good for few nights
Great beach, quiet location, little overpriced. Food was good, also free drinks. Hotel needs more maintenance and much better management. Staff was friendly, but looks unmotivated.

Needs attention
Please please listen to your customers and put bacon back on the breakfast menu, even if the owner doesn't like it because of his faith, its a hotel, not his home where he lives, the majority of the customers are westerners so listen to your customers. And please at least put a handsoap on the bathroom, my room had none. Lastly, some staff barely spoke or understood a word of english, in a hotel that wants to be 4 star you need to have staff that at least can communicate in basic english. Also the hotel needs a good paint soon, its starting to look sad.

Hotel and staff needs upgrading. Rude reception staff. No hot water for the whole stay despite complaining everyday. No visibility of hotel management. Facilities poor, service poor, food poor.

The service was excellent. The food was great and I love the cocktails hours from 4-5 pm. They were very caring when I got an motorcycle accident on the island. The only complaint was the air conditioning wasn’t working properly.

Modern hotel with secluded beach on remote island.
Stayed in deluxe room with beautiful ocean views and balcony jacuzzi. Hotel is right on the beach and has its own private beach. Koh Kood is beautifully unspoiled by any commercial buildings or highrises. It’s remote and laid back with plenty of untarnished natural wonders.

Nice hotel, quiet, and nice staffs
I had heard from my friends who went there and they were happy with it as they had exceptional experiences. On the other hands, I had read many reviews on social media and I was a bit worried about the place including cleanliness, staffs, location, etc... as I sent email to contact email of this place in December and nobody replies to me till March. So I decided to follow up in the other ways. Eventually, I had got information about how to get to the hotel, which ferries service should I take, etc... After my stay here, I would say that everything was beyond my expectation! staffs were so nice and helpful, f&b was great! location was not too bad, and facilities were satisfied. For the trash near the beach, I saw that they tried to keep clean for the beachfront but somehow trashes came from the waves during the night when it was high tide and these trashes were from the sea!? because I didn't see it on the first day that I arrived but the second day I saw trashes on the beachfront. What I could understand is trashes were from the fishing boats during the night and the hotel has no right to control this. It should be improved for this one.

Great Experience
Cham's was a delight. The private beach and attentive staff made the stay quite nice. There are several other resorts on the island with a more low key vibe, but Cham's suits all kinds (families and couples) well.

I am not disgruntled guest just disappointed: It boasts of wanting to be a 4 star but lacks in most areas: - tried to get upgrade and was never fully helped - room had no service phone, poor internet, bad tv reception - room had geckos and always droppings on bed - did not have food items that were listed on menu, too expensive for low quality food - service poor, help his behind wall - beachfront very rocky Overall, a nice 2 star but not even 3 star!! Cut prices (food and services), smile, treat guests as real guests, communicate events, improve consistency of food and remove items from menu that you do not have available, be better at providing responsive service,

Very disappointed with this hotel.
Room: Overpriced. old, small and doesnt appear to look like the photo on the booking site. The bathroom is very old and molded. Water pressure is very low and unstable temperature. The bed is too soft, twin bed connect together instead of king bed. Caused back pain and unpleasent sleep. Ants all over the place. Food: terribly expensive and not even good. Breakfast line is the worst. Always no food in the tray. I barely eat because there were nothing available. Unattended restaurant staffs. Lacks of service mind. Pool: old and dirty. It looked really good on the photo but in reality its hard to have good time. Cracked tiles all ovet the pool. Guest service: unresponsive. I actually complained at the front desk. What they did was just asked me to write on a comment card. No applogy no symphaty. Communication before the check in date was the worst. They didnt even mention that they have a service boat available. Not helpful House keeping and concierge: very nice and friendly Motorbike rental: low quality. I had to ask for a new bike as the one that has been given to us was broken Location: ok but the beach is not the most beautiful beach full of rocks and trash.

Great beach front villa
Overall great experience, wifi worked well, great room and beach. Housekeeping was exemplary, I would add some chocolates to the minibar. It's worth walking down to the far left side of the beach to see the volcanic rocks. Free kayak and snorkeling equipment was a huge plus. Highly recommend the beach front pool villa. Priced just right!

Nice but not excellent.
The receptionist was very welcoming and showed us to our rooms earlier than check-in without an extra cost. The room was very big and the shower was very nice. A couple of drawbacks were that there were some small ants in the room. The beach was nice, beautiful view and free snorkeling and water activity equipment. The beach beds were a bit worn out but OK. There are not that many restaurants around the hotel so you are pretty limited to the hotel restaurant unless you are mobile or want to take a taxi. The food there was so and so and a bit overprices. OVerall we were pleased but the hotel is a bit more worn down than the photos online.

Very nice place, but.....
this was my 2nd stay at Chams House, however unfortunately things have changed a lot. prior to Chams house I stayed at another Resort right next to a family with a kid that screamed a lot, on arrival at Chams house that same family had checked in too at Chams house and were put in a private Villa right next to mine! I requested reception if they could please put me in a Villa at least a little bit away so I dont have to listen to a screaming kid for my entire holiday, they just said Sorry, nothing we can do. Breakfast is very dull, it used to be good, but now it really is not worth eating breakfast here, very little on offer. There is no bacon as the owner insists on halaal meat, I disagree with the halaal slaughter process so I will not touch halaal products, purely based on the cruelty to animals in the process. In my Villa the lights in the bathroom, and private pool were not working, finally on my 3rd day there they were fixed. one last thing, after breakfast I wanted to use a kayak and snorkelling gear and I noticed there was no one at the desk where one has to sign for them, I asked one of the staff who said they would contact reception, 20 minutes later I asked another staff member, finally after waiting 45 minutes at the activity desk I had enough and went up to the reception myself, bear in mind the activity desk is open at 8am, this was past 9pm. one person said the person on the desk had gone to the toilet, 45 minutes? really! some professionalism would be good.

Private hotel and beach front, good services.
A little far from Kohkood Express Ferry (about 40 mins by car), I have 3D2N with this nice resort, private, quiet and good services. The restaurant is close to beach to enjoy with sunset. But the Thai food taste especially for Tom Yam Koong is not meet my expectation as i'm a native. Anyway you can visit local seafood restaurant at Aowyai fisherman village, about 5 k.m. from hotel by a rental motorcycle.

we stayed for two nights, on arrival we were checked in and given welcome drinks. the hotel has Very friendly staff, they took us on a free trip to one of the island waterfalls which was brilliant. Always kept the complimentary mini bar well stocked and offed DVDs to borrow (the TV channels weren't very good!) The hotel has amazing views, great pool and beautiful beach with great sun loungers! Our bed was huge and clean with a little balcony. The only thing letting this hotel down is the restaurant. Its located on the beach we were very excited about dinner but it was the worst meal we had in Thailand and it was over priced. The manager did offer us alternative meals but we declined and our bill was reduced. unfortunately the hotel is very remote so we were pretty hungry for most of our stay! but over all very beautiful, relaxing and romantic place to go.

Koh Kood Getaway.
A great place to get away from it all. Quiet and peaceful - what more do you want?! Good quality breakfast included. They provided a free mini-bar with soft drinks and water everyday. There was also a great little coffee-making machine in the room.

Really enjoyed my stay here, awesome location on the beach, spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff. breakfast could have been a little better organised, they ran out of certain things, all a bit chaotic. only thing I'd like to say is one staff member on reception was extremely rude and unhelpful the entire stay, all the rest of the staff were great. great island to explore its many beaches, not overcrowded or too touristy.

Great place to get away from it all and relax.
Cham's House is in a beautiful setting on an almost private beach. Very relaxing, with a friendly, unobtrusive staff. Food choices are somewhat limited, but acceptable for the location. Stay in the main building - heard stories of bugs in the beach front villas. Very much enjoyed the stay!!

Too isolated trip and beach is not the expectation !
The location is too isolated and deep inside the island. If you really need your own privacy you may like it. The beach is not the expectation when you compare to the other one which one mile closer ! Price here for meal is double when you compare to other or maybe 4 - 5 times than the local restaurant.

This hotel provided good services - restaurants, beach, bar, motorbike hire, transfers to the ferry. The island was very quiet so it was useful having everything available at the hotel. The room was of a high standard.

Fantastic hotel and staff!
It was perfect! We were secluded and left alone. It was perfect! This is a remote island so know what you are signing up for before booking. The hotel is fantastic. We booked a oceanfront room with a plunge pool and had a wonderful stay. We emailed the hotel in advance and booked the speedboat transfer which turned out to be private for us. What a treat! The spa was fantastic as well and we booked two hour messages each night for us. Food was pretty darn good too. All seemed nicely priced. The beach at the hotel was very nice. I would recommend to anyone.

This is a very nice hotel, which I definitely will come back. Koh Kood is a very beautiful place I had ever been. We love is so much. This hotel has an amazing view from the 2 restaurants. The beach is very beautiful, we love the sunset view so much. We enjoy our pool villa so much, as very pretty ocean view from our pool. The bed is very comfortable. Only the open bath is the disadvantage of this hotel, as this is open bath, there's lots of ants, the most horrible thing is the ants coming out from the shower head, so we never try it, if they can keep it more cleanliness, it's a very nice open bath. The hotel staff is very friendly and they have a passion to serve all guests. This hotel is the place we don't wanna leave. We will definitely going back again.

l'hôtel est correct mais le service est totalement insuffisant. Les réceptionnistes parlent un mauvais anglais, promettent des services et ne font pas la communication. Le restaurant a une sorte de monopole don ont des prix élevés pour une qualité très moyenne. Ils facturent 10 pourcent de service plus 7 pourcent de taxes. Ils ont de la peine à comprendre nos demandes en anglais. Heureusement que la situation de l'hôtel sur une plage de sable fin est idyllique !

Egentligen en mysig resort som säkert var fin för längesedan. Men stället behöver sig en rejäl uppfräschning i form av både renovering och städ. Det är smutsigt och fläckar på varenda tyg i rummet. Myror överallt, både stora och små. Även på frukosten håller myrorna till, t.o.m i maten. Porslinet är smutsigt och maten smakar inte bra. Sista dagen hoppade vi över frukosten. Restaurangen har sjuka överpriser, ungefär 3 ggr så mkt som på vägen utanför. Städ är i princip obefintlig, en gubbe med kvast kommer in och sopar och fyller på vattenflaskor. På fyra nätter fick vi varken rena sängkläder eller handdukar en enda gång. Det enda bra med detta ställe var att de städade poolen som tillhörde villan tidigt på morgonen så man kunde bada i den direkt.
