We were very happy with this stay. Friendly staff, clean and big room with a nice view of the water. The breakfast was very good. Just a 5 minutes drive to Knysna town.

Lovely place
Easy to find, lovely place. Clean and comfortable room. All I needed.
For a B&B this place does itself proud, spacious rooms, beautifully decorated with all you need! Absolutely spotless rooms, restaurant, grounds and 2 swimming pools. The staff are friendly, helpful and really go out of the way to make sure you feel at home. The breakfast was great as it was both fruit and cereals but then also a cooked breakfast. One potential drawback was the need to pay for WiFi (not expensive though) but to be honest this might also be a good thing, as your on holiday switch your phone off and enjoy all Knysna has to offer, as this B&B is located ideally a short distance to the town and all the tourist attractions! They even provide a discount for the Elephant sanctuary - which is a Must! I personally and the family I went with, are sure to be staying at this perfect guest house again! Thanks to all the staff!
I will not recommend this hotel to anybody.
The room what we saw in the Hotels.com and the one which we got for stay was entirely different and was very poor.
We paid 2500 for 2 days stay but the room quality was very bad. Not worth for the money. We were unhappy with the room which we got.]
We stayed in another hotel in Port Eligibeth with just R 750. It was awesome and in this hotel we paid almost double and the room was worst.
They offered just 250mb and there was no dustbin in the room no fridge nothing. Breakfast was ok.
I think they have to do two thing one they have to put a paper on the door that notices the housekeeper if I want to clean my room or not then they have to get more chooses of food for the breakfast time finally think you so much for every thing
We had a wonderful time at the on the Estuary. We really enjoyed the stay there.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Werner the general manager gave us very good advice for the daily activities around town.
The room was very nice and we had a terrace in front of the room.
Everything was great apart from the fact that my room (Rockefeller) was very small and was not really fit for two people with a suitcase each. I realise that I booked late and this was possibly the last available double room so I'm grateful for that but to manage other people's expectations it may be an idea to make it more clear whether the room being booked is in the Beauchamp or the Art Décor as there is a bit of difference and I had it in my head that I would be staying in a room with a wooden balcony/courtyard with seats outside that I could sit on.
If it was my property I would change the Rockefeller room to a single bed (I'm presuming there is a demand for single rooms), create somewhere for suitcases to be stored and possibly extend the small balcony so that it is big enough to accommodate a sitting outside.
This is meant as constructive feedback as I enjoyed my stay and the staff/owners were lovely and helpful.
Superb Guest house, with a views of the lagoon from most rooms. Staff very welcoming and informative, Room large clean with very pleasant terrace. Service good, Breakfast very good choices and freshly cooked to order. Enjoyed our 4 day stay.
Stayed at Beauchamp Lodge for 5 nights as a family with 2 kids, the place is well run, welcoming and well located in Knysna, although opposite the freeway,it's easy access to the main sites in the location.
There manager is friendly and breakfast was good although hot breakfast could do with seasoning for more taste. Would recommend that they add fragrancing in their bathrooms as there is a smell even when the toilets have been cleaned. Overall Cleanliness could be improved as my bedsheets still had sand from the beach after my bed was made. Otherwise the rooms were big, well furnished and comfortable with a decent dstv package.
Great place to stay. Accommodations were clean and suitable for a family of 4. A ceiling fan in the bedroom would have made the room more comfortable as it was very hot and we didn't want to leave the windows open all night since they had no screens.

Disappointing
Very disappointing as two rooms were booked, confirmation received from Beauchamp Lodge indicated two rooms with twin beds on the Lower level. On check in, only one room was allocated on the Upper level. The booking confirmation was brought to the attention of the manageress. We were travelling with a 2 year old and 80 year old granny. It was a challenge for them to use the shower and climb stairs. We were shown another room at the back of the property, which was musty and could not accommodate our family of 4. Finally, we were accommodated together as a family. The main bedroom served as living and dining room. Water was obtained from the bathroom for making tea as there was no sink or tap in the bedroom/ living area. We had high expectations but were left disillusioned.
A hearty breakfast was served by warm, friendly and hospitable staff. Rooms were serviced on a daily basis. Staff were willing to recommend places to visit. Manageress apologized profusely for the confusion with the booking.
