Originally built in the 1930’s by a Swedish architect and recently renovated with updated bath, granite vanity, Birch Kitchen cabinets, built in microwave, Gas logs in the original stone Fireplace. Master Bedroom Features King Size Cozy bed, 2nd bedroom features double bed and single twin bed, flip switch easy lite gas/stone fireplace, screened porch with rockers overlooking wooded hillside, original wide plank hardwood floors, covered front porch with Rocking chairs, outdoor gas grill with side burner on the deck , Xfinity hi speed Wi Fi and 2 Flat screen TVs , Fully equipped Kitchenette, with Fridge/ice maker, Hammered Copper Sink, ( no full size stove) Cook plate, toaster and built in microwave,hammered copper sink .All Linens and towels are furnished, hair dryer and Keurig coffee maker. What a great place to stay for a trip to Knoxville. It is a rustic log cabin home full of amenities…towels…coffee…nice beds. Don’t let the bear decorations fool you as we did not see any real ones. Owner is great. Good history all around you. The description of the place on VRBO is spot on. We will be back.

We had a great time staying in this cabin over the summer. Christie was very accommodating and helpful. The cabin is tucked away in the woods and surrounded by nature, and there are many native birds and bugs in the area and a dense tree canopy. The cabin is far enough away from the highway that traffic sounds are minimal. Downtown Knoxville is a 15 minute drive away and there are several parks nearby. There is access to grocery stores and restaurants within 10 minutes. The Smokey Mountains are roughly an hour away and offer plenty of outdoor activities too. Highly recommended if you're looking to be in nature with city access.

Four years at UTK went by very fast!

My son just graduated from the University of Tennessee and our very first day when he was a freshman checking him in was at the little cabin and our very last day was at the same place. Highly recommend this was our go to spot all four years and we will miss it. Thank you.
