Farmland and MERLIN telescope: This telescope, located in Knockin, is one of six in the MERLIN array. MERLIN stands for the Multi-Element Radio-Linked Interferometer Network, Jodrell Bank's array of observing stations that together form a powerful telescope with an effective aperture of over 217 kilometres. Note: The dish is situated in the adjacent square.

I stayed here for work. 1st night, the room was clean but quite basic. I got woken up at 12.15 am by a group of drunken men who didn’t stop with their noise until 5 am. I told reception the next day and they moved me to a much better and quieter room the next day. Food was excellent in the restaurant. ...

Reception staff very welcoming. Hotel very old and carpets very threadbear in halls and stairs. Bathroom had stain on flooring and there was mildew on bath/shower mat. No plugs by bedside . Mattress very lumpy
