"We arrived to the location that was stated in our booking. After many hours of driving we encountered the address that was provided by the hostel. It was difficult to locate this place since there was no clear sign or any other indication that we arrived at our accommodation. The sign hostel didnā€™t match the name of the accommodation on Expedia. you could not tell if this is the right address either but the Google Maps indicated it that that was the address. There was some wedding in front of...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Knezevi Vinogradi?
The best area to stay in Knezevi Vinogradi is the village centre itself, particularly around the main street and the surrounding vineyards.

This area provides an authentic experience of the region's renowned wine culture. You'll find a concentration of family-run wineries (known as gatoras) offering tastings and direct sales, alongside traditional restaurants serving local cuisine. The layout is quite spread out, with properties often located amidst the vineyards, providing a rural and tranquil setting.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find the vineyard stays particularly appealing. Many accommodations offer private terraces with views over the rolling hills of vines, great for enjoying a glass of local wine as the sun sets. The focus on gastronomy and wine exploration makes it an ideal spot for those wanting to indulge in regional specialities.

For those interested in a more secluded and quiet stay, properties located slightly outside the immediate village centre, deeper within the vineyards, are an excellent choice.
When is the best time to go to Knezevi Vinogradi?
The best time to go to Knezevi Vinogradi is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the vineyards are at their most picturesque.

During late spring, the vineyards are lush and green, and the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 18Ā°C to 25Ā°C. This period is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities like cycling through the wine routes or exploring the natural beauty of the region without the intense summer heat. It's also a good time to experience local festivals before the peak tourist season.

Early autumn is another excellent choice, offering mild temperatures, usually between 15Ā°C and 22Ā°C, and the vibrant colours of the changing leaves in the vineyards. This is also harvest season, providing a unique opportunity to witness the grape-picking process and enjoy freshly pressed wines. Many local cellars and wineries offer special tastings and events during this time, making it great for food and wine enthusiasts.

While summer (July and August) is popular, it can be quite hot, with temperatures often exceeding 30Ā°C. Winter (November to April) is generally cold and quiet, with some wineries operating on reduced hours.
