Good locked bicycle place. Top of the hill above town with good Japanese restaurant & breakfast cafe nearby. Elevator to upper floors and aircon working on hot day. Very poor wifi - maybe better soon.

+ Wij kwamen later aan dan de uiterlijke inchecktijd van 22:00uur. Gebeld met het hotel, een medewerker die ernaast woont zou op ons wachten en de kamersleutel geven. Top geregeld. --- Heel vreemd: De kamers worden tussendoor niet schoongemaakt als je er niet specifiek om vraagt. Aan de deur hebben we het kaartje gehangen met "please make up room". Dat maakt dus niet uit. Alle handdoeken waren al gebruikt en lagen, zoals het hoort en ook op het bordje in de badkamer staat, netjes op de vloer. Zoals het altijd in elk hotel moet! We kwamen laat terug toen er al geen personeel meer was en daar zaten wij met natte handdoeken. Dat was fijn douchen......☹️ Als het vantevoren duidelijk was dan hadden we de handdoeken te drogen gehangen. Het antwoord van de medewerker bij uitchecken: "Dat had je door moeten geven. De schoonmaakster maakt de kamer niet schoon als je meerdere nachten blijft." Heel vreemd!! En dat voor € 364,- voor 2 nachtjes.

OLD! Not great value; terrible wifi

This is a pretty out-of-date old-style hotel. Small rooms, tiny beds, tiny TVs, old furnishings, no AC (it was hot and stuffy). I would not recommend this place under most circumstances. Worst part of stay was the terrible WiFi connection. They issue a unique code for each device that logs on. I had to wait for them to print me multiple codes for myself and the 3 others in my party, each with a laptop and a computer to connect, so 8 different codes (ugh). Signal strength was awful and kept dropping. might as well have been a dial-up connection. Impossible to get anything done. I needed a strong connection to catch up on some business and i had counted on it at this hotel. This was a major challenge for me. A couple bright sides: we checked in late and the night manager was helpful in letting us in after hours and helping us find a place to park our vehicle. Breakfast in the hotel was also ok but overpriced IMO

Goede centrale ligging.Centrum Kleve op loopafstand. Niet al te groot hotel, maar hierdoor ook makkelijk direct contact met personeel. Vond de bediening niet alleen vriendelijk, maar ook opgewekt. Aandacht voor " de gast " goed . Toch anders dan gevoel, je bent maar klant ! Hotel vanuit Nederland (per auto) heel goed. Bijna rechttoe, rechtaan.

One night in Kleve

The hotel is a little dated, but the rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly. Hotel says it has a lounge, but it is very tiny. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. It offers free internet, but it is very slow.

ideales Hotel fuer ein Wochenende

Wir haben ein Hotel fuer 1 Nacht gesucht um am naechsten Morgen ausgeruht das Wunderland Kalkar zu besuchen. Empfang um 19:00 Uhr war perfekt. Nette Begruessung, Schleusseluebergabe und gute Tips um noch gut essen zu gehen. Hotelzimmer zwar aelter, aber alles da was man braucht und sauber. Selbst das Bett fuer unseren 9 jaehrigen Sohn war gemacht und bequem. Am Morgen ein gutes Fruehstueck, bequemes Auschecken und los in den Tag...

Great hotel but not happy with staff.

I originally booked this hotel online because of the great reviews, at a good rate. On arrival, the lady that welcomed us in was extremely friendly and allowed us a late check-out which we were very happy with. The room itself was lovely - large, nicely presented and clean. At check-out, I went to pay and found that breakfast (which was originally quoted as being inclusive in the total price) was actually a compulsory extra - and very expensive. We didn't have breakfast, or ask for it, so we were a little surprised when 2 different ladies at the reception desk told us "YOU BOOK IT, YOU PAY FOR IT" with no explanation of the added extras. We had to leave quickly so we didn't kick up a fuss. When their card machine then wouldn't process my payment, the lady refused to give me any void receipts after repeatedly trying my card and seemed infuriated at us. She was extremely rude until her card machine finally worked. I would have liked to have stay here again since we come to Kleve often, but this has ruined how I feel about the hotel. All in all, a good trip but maybe some practice in customer service skills wouldn't go amiss.
