My forever go to place <3

My forever go to place. This is my fifth visit. Its just magical. Could be nice if the menu had more selection and if there would be snacks available to buy, as you really dont want to leave the place at all. The spa lady is very good - had a very lovely massage.

Utterly great!

Absolutely beautiful place to spend 5 days. Utterly clean, great food, cold drinks, very very cheap, free kayaks and paddle boards, good shower, friendly dogs, interesting wildlife, really friendly staff, loads of interesting places to sit and lay down in the communal area, can walk quite far out into the Indian ocean when the tide is out and it faces west so the view of the sun setting each evening is spectacular. I'll give it a 14 out of 10!!!

A very relaxing place to stay and recuperate. We had a fantastic sea view to the front and side of the room. That did mean that when the storms came we also had a very wet floor as the front just has mesh panels and no windows (but we were very grateful for the refreshing breeze!) but this was quickly dried up with some towels. Housekeeping available everyday and excellent service. Room had a ceiling and a mosquito net over the bed. As it was hot and humid when we were there it could be quite difficult to sleep at night - not the fault of the hotel, just one of those things. The bathroom shower is not contained so be warned that the floor does get very wet and is slow to drain. The pool was great! Most guests don't seem to use it so it was pretty quiet most days. We loved it when the monkeys would come out and swing around the trees by the pool - it's a mini jungle paradise! Access to the sea is down some steps - the water is lovely and clear. Be aware that during load tied you will likely be approached by locals hiding behind rocks on the beach offering boat tours/taxi service etc. The same tours and services are offered by the hotel for a very competitive price so we preferred to book through Promised Land. Lovely bar and restaurant staff. Lovely food especially the Tanzanian fish curry! We stayed for 10 nights so menu was getting a bit samey but most people stay for much shorter period of time. Beautiful, remote location with lovely people to look after you.

My favourite spot

Promised Land is a truly amazing place if you need a beautiful spot to relax, chill and regain energy. Huts are clean and spacious with comfortable beds, food is really good and everybody at the lodge are very friendly. This was our third time at Promised Land - and we can’t wait to return!

Walk through the gate - wow!

Approaching the lodge I wondered where on earth I was going as it down a long track but when I walked through the gates it was WOW! The whole place faces the beautiful blue ocean. The view from my room was stunning and the choice of hammocks, swings and loungers just scream relax! Perfect place to chill out with reggae vibes and friendly, helpful staff

Même si le cadre est magnifique l’hôtel n’était pas à la hauteur de ce qui est annoncé. J’ai réservé un bengalow familial avec vue mer et j’ai eu une chambre quasi sans lumière à côté de vieux toilettes à l’odeur nauseabonde. Malgré ma demande aucun effort de changement. La piscine est vieillissante et sale. Sinon le restaurant est ok, la vue magnifique, le bar sympa et le personnel sympa. Si vous n’êtes pas exigeant niveau propreté et cherchez le calme c’est top. La sortie blue safari vaut le coup. Nb : rien de rien dans les alentours .

Paradise

A piece of paradise at the end of the world that soothes the soul. The hotel is located on a cliff overlooking the sea. A spectacular spectacle of tides and stunning sunsets. A place with a lot of green, Spacious spaces and seating areas with meticulous decoration in the space. A special experience of living in nature in a bungalow with a balcony. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Waking up in the morning with the birds chirping. Stunning bar, beautiful pool. Thank you to the lovely owner Shabi and all the lovely staff for a wonderful stay that will not be forgotten.

Vi havde et fint ophold. Men man skal være opmærksom på at det ligger langt væk fra alting. Så man skal vælge dette sted for at komme væk fra alt, nyde roen, musikken fra anlægget, den lækre udsigt og den ok mad fra deres restaurant. Alt i alt et ok sted. Ville bare ønske vi havde vidst at der kun var saltvand i hanen kontra alle andre steder vi boede på turen.

Trevligt rum med gott om plats, flera mysiga allmänna utrymmen, bra poolområde. När det gäller maten var det fasta tider och man var tvungen att beställa en timma innan den serverades, stora portioner men man tröttnade snart på menyn. Ca 20 minuters promemad till byn.

Trevligt men enkel standard (saltvatten i dusch och handfat, ingen AC). Fin havsutsikt men klippor, ej sandstrand. Minus för att ägarna har hundar och katter som springer fritt på området, inkl. i restaurangen. Vid några tillfällen åt hundarna även rester frn bordet.

Tucked away in the quiet, relaxing south end of the Island of Zanzibar, Promised Land is a beautiful escape from reality. Whether you’re lounging in the plethora of furniture: swinging beds, hammocks, or beach beds, taking a swim in the salt water pool, playing a pickup game of volleyball, or sending the kayaks for a beautiful sunset cruise, Promised Land offers it all. The newly built and furnished bungalows are pristine. With beautiful mock wood floors, a comfy bed, and an out door-y bathroom and shower, you are sure to stay feeling dreamy. The staff members are exceptional. They help you set up any adventure you plan on taking but also do not pressure you into trying anything you don’t wish to partake in. Tending to your every needs, as a guest I felt like I could ask for anything and they would try to see it through. Lastly, the food, specifically dinner (because it is all we took part in) was 5 star. Courses were of the utmost savory and well presented. 5/5 for Promised Land.

Herrliche, einfach Anlage mit schönen und grossen Zimmern, einige mit Sicht aufs Meer. Schöne Anlage mit vielen Schatten spendenden Unterständen um sich direkt am Meer aufzuhalten, aber kein Strand vor der Anlage. Ca. 6 m hohe Cliffs, man kann bei Flut einpaar Treppenstufen runter und sofort schwimm. Gratis auch 3 Kayak zum benutzen, man kann weit im Meer herum paddeln. Guete afrikanische Musik oder Reggae an der Bar. Gutes Essen im Restaurant. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
