250 km north of Rovaniemi, L.Saivojärvi 100 m (length 1 km, width 200 m), shore shared with owner’s other cottage, shallow, soft mud bottom, jetty, shore unsuitable for children, own boat. Log building 1991, renovated and extended 2012, living room/kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in each. Upstairs (no door) 1 bed, sauna (electric and wood burning stove), washroom, open porch. Shore has grill tepee shared with other cottage. Completely renovated cottage at PALLASTUNTURI, with fells and national park on opposite shore of lake 300 metres away! Pallas and Raattaman Reitit -ski trail network 300 m. Splendid views of fells from cottage. Lake shore is 100 metres away over the road and past the owner’s other cottage. PALLASTUNTURI ski resort 40 km, Tunturihotelli Vuontispirtti (hotel) 3 km, Raattama village 13 km. Neighbouring cottage is no. 9869.

Warm und heimelig

Das COTTAGE war sauber, heimelig, es gab genug Holz für den Kamin und die Sauna. Der See, der zugefroren war und die wunderschöne Lage im Nationalpark, war einfach ideal. Auch zum kleinen Ein suf in Raattama war es ni ht sehr weit, nur 5 km.

Am Ende der Welt, aber einfach traumhaft

Wenn man glaubt, daß man da ist, ist es noch ein Stück zu fahren. Aber auch im Winter wird die Straße geräumt. Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, wärmstens (mit Kamin) zu empfehlen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit (und man sollte sie kontaktieren, um sich Rentiere anzuschauen und sehr gutes Rentierfleisch zu kaufen - zu einem guten Preis!). Es gab nichts, was uns fehlte, außer dem Polarlicht. Ich glaube, daß wir noch einmal hinfahren.

Finnischer Wintertraum

Wir waren für eine Woche in dieser gemütlichen kleinen Hütte in einer traumhaften Umgebung.Es ist Einsamkeit pur, perfekt , um richtig abzuschalten.Sehr nette Vermieter, die sofort helfen,wenn es irgendwelche Probleme gibt. Das war mit Sicherheit nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt dort !
