We were visiting for a family funeral/reunion in Conneaut, and this was the perfect gathering place for us. We really enjoyed the large enclosed porch.
Very responsive host and a great property. We stayed here for the total solar eclipse in April 2024, and then we explored Lake Erie and the surrounding area for a few days afterwards. The house's Sun room was perfect for hanging out all together, and the living room and dining room are also very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bedrooms and bathrooms also worked well for our stay. Having grown up myself in a wooded area but now living in the suburbs, it was fun to take our kids around the property and to the creek. We highly recommend this host and property.
House was very accommodating for our party of 8.
Pictures of the Sun room don't do it justice, it is larger than we'd expected and had more than enough room for our entire group to spend time together.
Property location is very nice, secluded, and peaceful, with lots of outdoor space.
Three bedrooms on first floor are nice, with a half bath in one.
Front door area and basement bedrooms could use a good cleaning.
Overall it was a good experience and would stay again.
We had a great stay at this cottage - as a group of anglers, it was a stellar home base with access to the various streams in the area including sections of the Conneaut behind the house. There was plenty of room for hanging out after a day on the water and it was ease to change out of our gear with the outdoor "mudroom." The kitchen was fully stocked with pots / pans, utensils, etc and we didn't have to bring any paper goods, etc. Most importantly, the host was great and very responsive to questions. I highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area.
We love this property! This is our 3rd time staying in this home and we enjoyed this stay as much as the 1st two times. We will definitely rent this home again!!
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Both times were great. Andy was super helpful and answered all questions as soon as possible. This will be a yearly trip for us!
House was just as described. Beautiful property owner Andy was there when we got there gave us a tour of the property. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend staying there.
Everything was perfect from the house to the fishing. Andy was amazing and always willing to answer questions. He was extremely helpful. He even left a bottle of champagne for us. The house is huge and has plenty of room for large groups. We have decided to come back every week year with our families.
The pictures don't do the home justice. This is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Close to everything but still secluded. The house has everything so it was so convenient to pack and go! Lots of room for family and friends. The sunroom was our favorite place to hang out. We utilized the fire pit as well and wood was already there for us to use. We got to do some fishing and it was nice to have so much property along the river to walk and enjoy the outdoors. The owner was very helpful and was always available for our questions. Highly recommend this rental! We will be back!
This was my second stay at this property! The owner is wonderful and the property is beautiful!!! The house has a lot of room for large groups and the outside area is very peaceful. Definitely would recommend this property!!!!
Very nice property on the inside. Very easy to communicate with property owner. Outside of house could use some tpc with landscaping but if you're looking for a cabin to stay in while fishing then it's no big deal. Cabin is very spacious and has plenty of rooms to hang out in. This rental has by far the nicest upstairs shower I've ever seen, "better than my own house". Over all 10/10 experience. You could spend the whole day at the creek relaxing and fishing. Hope to go back again
We had a wonderful time and made many more great memories. The large room was great for our family fun game nights. We loved eating great BBQ and watching a spectacular sunset at The Breakwall. Thank you again for the recommendation. We also visited nearby wineries and covered bridges. There were so many things to do in the area. We definitely want to visit again.
Plenty of room for all of us, and the perfect place for our weekend bike riding adventures.
The house was clean and large enough for our group of ladies. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house, especially the porch 😎
We spent most of our time riding the Western Reserve Greenway and didn’t go down to the river. We highly recommend this property.
What a great place for a short getaway. We had no real plans, just time away. Perfect house for us 5. Very easy process from start to finish. Was texted through the stay to make sure everything was going well.

pleasantly surprised/hope to go back
There were 8 of us and we could not have asked for a better location or accomadations . The property is well maintained and very private. The location afforded lots of activities 15 min from a nice sandy beach, wineries and covered bridges a short distance as well The walk along the creek was fabulous.
Most of all the house was clean and well furnished

Let Me Be The First
Let me be the first to review this property. Four of us stayed there last fall while it was still under construction. Despite the fact that an addition was being added to the home, the place was incredibly clean. In our steelheading travels we have stayed at many places, some really nice, some not so nice. You can tell that the owners are proud of this place by the way they maintain it.
The four of us arrived and met one of the owners. John is a friendly guy who was more than eager to give us a walking tour of all fifty or so acres, with an emphasis on the best steelhead runs. We went back to house and readied of gear and went off to dinner. As we fished the next day, John was more than willing to take our calls and share stream flow information. Even though it was early in the season, we did catch a nice number of fresh fish.
As far as fishing lodging goes, this place is a winner. It has all the amenities you could ask for - cable, washer, dryer, full kitchen, grill, comfortable beds, clean linens, etc. This place is nice. You won't be afraid to bring your wife and kids. You could sleep a dozen in here. But let's face it, you came for the fish and fish they got. You can spend a weekend here on private water and only see the other fisherman in your party. When water conditions are right, double digit fish days can be the rule, not the exception.
There are more things to do here than fish for steelhead. There are a few local wineries, like Markko and Buccia. Sadly, it seems Tarsitano has closed and those wonderful meals are no more. There are also a dozen or more wineries 20 minutes to the west. Wildlife abounds here as well. Many birds, deer, turkey, and many bald eagles. There are some nice places to dine, including Biscotti's, Pizzi Café, and many others. Check out the Breakwall BBQ for great BBQ and burgers (Saturday only for burgers). And, a trip to Conneaut wouldn't be right without lunch at the White Turkey Drive In or a pizza and a pitcher at the Rainbow Lounge. Don't forget to stop in at Brandt's Orchard for some great cider donuts and to-die-for apple pies. And you can visit several covered bridges while you drive through some beautiful rural country.
This place is not only a great fishing destination, but would make for a nice romantic weekend, winery/covered bridge tour, or nice quiet getaway. I hate to give it such a strong review because you will no doubt want to stay here and I won't be able to book it myself.
