Otter House is further steeped in history as the chosen overnight stopping place for Royal brothers, Prince Albert and Prince George on their Australian visit in 1881. Prince George later being crowned King George V, grandfather of Queen Elizabeth II. The historical significance of 'Otter House' is evident with its status of State Heritage Listing.

The Australian Colonial Cottage style with stunning French doors that open onto the wide front verandah gives 'Otter House' its distinctive appearance. The original section of the home captures the authentic character and rich history with its cedar doors & architraves wrapped around the thick 18 inch approx. local stone walls. The charm and sense of royalty is evident from your first step into the main hallway, where the appreciation of Kingston's pioneers, just over 150 years ago laid their foundation to build and further enhance their dream.
