Wish we could have stayed longer! Waking up along side the Jones River was so lovely. It was a perfect for day trips to the surrounding area and a perfect resting place.
Wonderful location for tranquility and near to town
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Everything we would need was available. Comfortable for up to four guests with beautiful outdoor deck to enjoy the peaceful setting on the river. Only 2 miles to beaches, town of Duxbury, restaurants, and places to walk, all was very accessible. We would definitely be back for a return visit!
Stayed here 7/26-7/29 for a golf weekend with one of my buddies. It was a great location ~15 minutes to many courses in the area. The house was perfect for the trip. The back deck over the water was a great spot to have a couple drinks at the end of the day. Very quiet and relaxing even with the train tracks nearby.

A special place
Had a wonderful weeklong stay in the boat house. It was the perfect size for our family of 3, appointed with anything we might need and more. The location is unique, on the banks of the Jones river. Every view from every window is beautiful. Lucky for us, it's also very close to our family, and can't think of any place we'd rather stay when we're on the south shore visiting.
My family and I had a memorable time at the cottage on the Jones River. Pam and Eddie, the owners were so very kind and hospitable. The house is very comfortable with a lot of natural light. There is plenty of privacy at the cottage with its majestic views of the Jones River. I shucked and ate oysters with my son on the deck that sits over the river, it was a memorable moment. I hope to be able to stay at the cottage on the river again some day.

Relaxing and Perfectly Situated
This cottage was an ideal spot for the two of us and then a visiting daughter for a couple of nights. Very comfortable, homey, and clean. Several games, reasonably well stocked kitchen, and we greatly appreciated condiments in fridge and some basic foods stocked (salt, pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, oil, flour etc.)The deck is right on the tidal river and is a lovely spot for drinking morning coffee. We ordered lobsters (already steamed!) from Snug Harbor Seafood and had a great dinner with visiting family, sitting on the outside decks. Up the street (walking distance) is Cretinon farm stand with marvelous fresh corn, and across the street is the Bay Farm walking trails that go to the bay— so beautiful! Also close by is one of our favorite restaurants (Solstice) and a cute little brewery (42nd Parallel). Easy jump on the highway to head to Plymouth, Cape, or Boston. We did not find the stairs to be an issue, but don’t bring huge heavy suitcases!! I felt we were very well warned so had no issue with the steps. This was a quiet oasis in close proximity to so many aspects/places on the south shore!!
The boathouse was clean, quiet, and so relaxing. The property managers were super attentive and available when I reached out to them. Would definitely stay here again!

Boathouse by The river
We really enjoyed our stay at the boathouse. It was comfortable and had most of the basic supplies needed for the kitchen and bath. The home was clean, nicely decorated and made you feel that you were in a traditional New England Home. The hosts were pleasant and very easy to work with. We are looking forward to staying here again next year!

Serene and Clean
My husband and I loved staying at the Boathouse. It was conveniently located in the historic heart of Kingston. We truly enjoyed being able to step out and have our morning coffee on the deck by the river and just watched the tidal flow. It was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were very responsive to a phone call question I placed.
Our stay was pleasant. The house is well appointed with most of what you need as far as paper goods, toiletries, and kitchen staples. Location on the river is peaceful and the train heard off on the distance is nice to hear. Furniture was comfortable and the host was very easy to reach and talk to. They are extremely nice and their home was a fun place to stay!
Very nice property and clean and quaint, but not practical for group of friends.
1 bathroom up a steep set of stairs was a little dangerous if there are infant children.
Also a good set of stair to climb to get to property.
This is a great vacation place for a younger couple.
Parking was a joke. You had to park on the street and carry luggage down steep steps and when inside, you had to carry them up 13 steps. No response either by phone or email to owner either. The unit was not clean and you could tell that the bed was either slept on or bed unmade. There was blood on the pillow case of the larger bed. All beds were in the upstairs bedroom with a window air conditioner that could not keep up. Sleeping was very uncomfortable. We would have been better off in a Motel 6.
