The house was definitely not clean! Black mold in the freezer, bathroom shower curtain missing and mold starting on floor around it. Electrical plugs not even in the wall. Woodstove pipe is coming apart. Found garbage under the coffee table. There was half a god dam pill on the floor that my kids found!! I took pictures of everything in this house. Title of the ad says peaceful vibes, you can hear every little noise outside. Obviously not much insulation to keep noise out. Definitely don’t recommended this house,

Upon arrival at this house we were greeted with an unkempt lawn and a key pad that would not unlock the house. Once inside we were blasted with a stale, moldy, old-smoke smell. Upon further inspection, we found hair in the shower and on the back of the toilet. One of the toilets was most definitely not cleaned as it had poop on the sides of the bowl. The sinks were dirty and one of the handles was actually off kilter and filth surrounded it. there were a great deal of spider webs with active spiders in them up and down the open stairs and the baseboards were extremely dirty. The backyard was as unimpressive as the front yard with overgrown grass, a disintegrating shed and the hot tub was open and mostly empty other than the leaves and algae that had formed inside. Although the hot tub was not specifically listed as an amenity in the listing, it was in multiple pictures and was not specifically excluded in the listing either...so we were misled in thinking that it would be available.
naturally we reached out to the host and indicated our concerns and that we had left to go to a hotel and would not be staying there. his response was to chastise me for not knowing how to use the smart locks and for not noticing that the hot tub was not a listed amenity and for commenting on the lawn. he also insisted he had a cleaner come by prior to us arriving, and asked for proof. We sent photos and he actually called me "lame" and "rude" suggested VRBO might help as he would not!
