Intimate Cabin Off The Beaten Path

Minutes from the Kingsley Club yet only 14 miles from downtown Traverse City!

From the covered porch, past the fire pit, walk down the stairs, to historic railroad tracks that hold their majestic beauty. Then continue down the wood chipped path to 100 ft of Northern Michigan's Boardman River, a blue ribbon trout stream!

The cabin can sleep four comfortably. The one bedroom accommodates two with the full bed. Also full size futon, and twin sleeper sofa. The loft is spacious, and can be staged for our guests with one king mattress or two twin mattresses. A total of up to four guests are welcome. Additional guests may be considered, and will be an additional fee per day.

The nearby adventures that await are: snow shoeing, skiing, (cross country and downhill), kayaking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, hiking, golfing, snowmobiling, (trail 510), wineries and color tours.

❄️ Please note- during winter months -with any amount of snowfall- an AWD, 4WD, or snow tires on the vehicle would be necessary. The cabin is 2 miles off the main road. ❄️

Whether one wants to enjoy the tranquility of the cabin or are intrigued by the energy of the river... memories will forever be engrained.

Jodi was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The cabin was spotless and was very warm and cozy to stay in. Located on a beautiful piece of property, off the beaten path but still very close to attractions nearby. I could have spent weeks there - would love to stay here again someday!

Beautiful stay!

The cabin was absolutely lovely and exactly as described in the listing. It’s a charming little gem, and it’s clear the owners put a lot of care into making the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Communication with the owner was excellent. The location was perfect — close enough to Traverse City for convenience, yet far enough to enjoy peace and solitude. I couldn’t recommend this listing more highly!

First of all, communication was great! All needed info was provided and swiftly. Secondly, as someone who's rented cabins both in this area and elsewhere this was one of the cleanest, most tastefully decorated, most comfortable that we've experienced. Perfect is an understatement. The property is beautiful, all you could ask for as far as space, seclusion, firepit, and perfectly perched above such closeness to tracks and river with added bonus of sitting area on the river. Wifi and TV worked perfectly as well! Impossible for you to be disappointed! We will definitely be back!

River Tracks Cabin is adorable!

My husband and I really enjoyed our long weekend at the cabin. The location feels very secluded, but is still close to everything. The trek down to the river dock and the cute nature trails were such fun features.

Enjoyable retreat in rustic cabin!

Thoughtful attention to detail throughout. Enjoyed the surrounding trail as well! Though main bathroom was small, the outside shower was a bonus!

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The house was clean. There was firewood, chopped and ready which was amazing to have. Honestly the whole place was amazing. I don't know what else to say to it. The trails were fun. If I had to give one knock, it's not even anything that the house could do. It's just mosquitoes so be aware that the arm mosquitoes.

Quiet & Secluded

This cabin was definitely secluded, which is exactly what we were looking for! Close enough to Traverse City without it feeling like a long trip to get there, but out in the woods enough to feel like you’re the only people around for miles. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Cozy Cabin

The owners of this property are amazing! From the moment I booked, Jodi was in touch with me. She gave me many recommendations and was very responsive! The property is well maintained and I love the trails and quick walk down to the river. My only caution is to make sure that you have a truck or vehicle with 4 wheel drive, it had previously rained and there was a lot of water/mud in the dirt road on the way to the cabin and it would be difficult to do without that. We truly had a great stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet getaway that is still a quick drive to Traverse City.

Private and Peaceful

We stayed for a weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary. Traverse City is a short drive. The cabin was very clean and nicely maintained. Location was perfect to get away from the city and unplug for a weekend. Definitely need all wheel drive vehicle to access cabin but thats part of the adventure. Highly recommend.

Amazing Quiet Cabin

Recharge

This was the perfect place to just get away from the hustle and bustle. You feel like you’re so far away from everything, but you’re not. Traverse City is a quick drive to hit shopping, dinner or wine sampling. We will definitely be back. This has everything you need. Pack a cooler and a bag and go relax. Super clean and comfy.

Secluded cabin getaway

Just what we love, a little cabin in the woods. Loved being near the river, the screened in porch and the outdoor shower was at the top of the list. I had no idea I was missing an outdoor shower in my life! We brought our groceries and I cooked every meal. The kitchen had everything I needed. Can’t wait for another visit!

Perfect vacation!

We absolutely loved this property. My main concern when vacationing in Michigan with children is being close to water but not right on the water. The river is down a stairway then down a pathway, definitely far enough away for safe distance for kids. The cabin was perfect as well. Like everyone else said, the outside shower is great for sandy kids feet and being so close to Lake Michigan. I loved how it had everything we needed. Even a handheld vacuum so I could get the sand out of my car after the day at the beach. I searched all over for a rental in the wilderness that had water access and this one was the perfect gem. Can’t wait to go back!
