Wooohooo! Three days without having showered...we made it to Kimba at last - halfway across Australia - and we found this sign.... AND beautifully hot showers! What a feeling that was...standing there feeling the hot water on your skin... Honestly...this trip made us appreciate the small things so much. This way of travelling teaches you the value of the basics. From our world travels...this was my most favourite country so far. I love Australia, its people, the weather, the wildlife, the scenery, the beer, the wine - and the way we travelled through it was pretty damn amazing. The sense of freedom cannot be beaten. Us. The check in & check out was good the room was clean & comfortable & breakfast was inexpensive and good quality. The carpet in the breakfast room needed to be replaced.

The rooms are not overly clean- lots of dust. The tv in the room is horrible. It would not respond to the remote easily - very delayed. Also you can’t connect your device to the tv like other hotels to stream. You have to pay for movies - old school and limited and faulty as wouldn’t always play ...

Kimba is the place that is the half way across Australia. It's a quaint quiet little country town. Plenty of things to see. Not a bad spot to stay either.
