"A lovely stay, room in hotel annex was spotless. Staff were all friendly, Breakfast plentiful and delicious and evening meals were of the same quality using local produce where available. Menu prices were very reasonable both for food and drinks. Swimming pool area did not disappoint, had to book beforehand but was easy to do on app or at reception. Overall I don’t have anything negative to say and wouldn’t hesitate to return."

"Cottage was cold on arrival, wife went to bar to ask, lady said heat should be on, but didn’t offer to come take a look and sort it. Good job I’m a plumber, so I located the boiler and fired it up. We went to the bar for a couple of drinks while it heated up. Back to cottage still not warm but getting there. By the time we went to bed it was warm. Trouble is, the boiler is in a vented cupboard in the bedroom. So I had to turn it off to stand a chance of sleep. Place is tiny. Literally 8 inches at the most at bottom of bed to get around, not good fun in the dark, and we are in our 40s. Place is run down and badly fitted out, real shame as the pub is beautiful, but the owners clearly went cheap on the cottage. Toilet isn’t fixed to the floor or furniture. Holes in the bathroom walls, huge gapes in grout in shower, so big you can literally see the plasterboard behind the tiles, this has cause so much water escape from the shower, that the floor has sunk below the toilet, and it just moves around. Grout on floor tiles is mostly non existent, so tiles are loose, and ugly. Shower basket hanging off wall, shower waste cover is loose below your feet on the tray not the correct one. What you can see of the bedroom carpet is badly stained and dosent fit the room, it falls short of the wall by at least 20mm! Bathroom door is glass, and also dosent seal at all so no privacy, from sight or sound. Kitchen / living area tiny, foot stool has 3 legs. "

"Open parking area in front of the hotel. Compact bathroom in room 38 and guests in adjoining rooms are easily heard. Meals are good but you dont need to order pack lunches from the hotel as there is a coop 5 minute walk around the corner."

"We stayed one night, great little hotel, nice size room with bathroom (bath & shower). Staff are lovely and friendly, great customer service. We had dinner in the hotel, food was delicious. Plenty parking on site. Very close to station too."

"Excellent pod, very clean, all towels/ bedding provided. Tea, coffee station and fresh milk in the fridge. Underfloor heating keeps the pod cosy. Little dining table and chairs to chill on. Aswell as chairs outside but still sheltered to take it all in. Hairdryer, cutlery and plates and pans to make breakfast in the morning. Shower powerful enough and warm. Parking space provided and staff friendly and helpful. Only issue we had was the bed, that bed/ mattress was extremely hard, did not manage to sleep through without waking up several times with back ache. Actually slept on top on duvet the 2nd night with our own blanket on top to soften the bed on our backs. Would definitely consider coming back as the pods we’re lovely and in a fantastic area just wish we had better nights sleeps"
