"I like that the hotel was close to the beach and had an outdoor pool for customers to use. However, there was a lot of construction plastic on the first floor, but no construction was being conducted at the time, making the hallway very dark compared to the second floor, where it was very well lit and bright in the hallway. In addition, there was some issue with the water. The water in the bathroom sink took several hours to drain out and the water pressure was low. Since it was a short stay of 2 days, I just dealt with it."

"Stayed for a week and I had a second floor dune view room which actually allows you to see the tiniest sliver of the ocean at the horizon. Everything was very clean even though it was outdated. AC is very loud but did the job. No elevators. There are a couple picnic tables. Cleaning staff came through every day. Never needed to ask for anything. Wonderful spot on the beach. Tons of space. Limited parking to the side of the building so usually had to walk a little ways. Never tried the breakfast as it was only from 0630-0930 and we don't eat that early."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had fresh paint but you could see the rust on the lights, microwave didn’t work the room didn’t look like it had been vacuumed, outside was very dirty with litter plants on the pool patio were dead."

"The room was adequate for a short stay, but there were several things that could be improved. The bathroom needed attention, as the toilet felt loose and moved when used. While it was nice that laundry facilities were available on-site, guests need to bring quarters to use them. I also wish there had been an outdoor area or designated space to air-dry clothes, but that was not available. The room appeared to be vacuumed, but the carpet felt old and not particularly clean, making me wonder how often it is actually deep-cleaned. Personally, it left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. The kitchenette and room setup were sufficient for a brief stay, but I would not recommend it for longer stays or for anyone planning to do much cooking. On the positive side, the breakfast was decent and offered a variety of options, which we appreciated. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel was acceptable for a short two-night stay, but it did not exceed expectations."

"This boutique hotel is a gem in a large vacation rental community! Absolutely would stay here again! The owner has thought of providing amenities that a large hotel does not! Outside are some games including corn hole & large Connect Four game, etc! Foosball & video game machine inside. Nice pool area! Rooms are clean & beds/pillows are very comfortable! Well maintained & safe area. Short few blocks walking to public access to beach! Great central location in the Outer Banks! Breakfast is simple offerings, but good! Chocolate chip cookies, popcorn & hot chocolate at 5:00 pm! We stayed here 4 nights & loved it!"
