"We had a very warm welcome at the hotel. The staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. We were particularly impressed by the welcome given to children and the range of activities for them. I would advise guests to take notice of the hotel’s suggestion to avoid the busier times for breakfast as we did experience one morning in the “rush hour” and it was hectic"

"We had an excellent stay at the Firecastle rooms and we will definitely return. Very clean room- spotless. I spoke to the lady cleaning the rooms in the morning and she was very helpful and pleasant. The staff in the downstairs restaurant (Harte's) and the delicatessen were all very accommodating. It was a truly excellent place to stay and we are fussy! Thank you. Ps. The Nespresso coffee machine was also amazing."

"Wonderful dinner, the charcuterie board as a starter was the most impressive I’ve seen. The Hotel title does not do justice to the castle setting. The breakfast room is about 4 rooms extending into the real stone castle. Fantastic pancakes"
