Work Retreat
Perfect for large groups whether families or groups of friends. The house was much larger than anticipated with loads of space inside and out. Great location and everything there that we needed. Resort staff were also excellent. Highly recommended.

Family get together
We have six adult children and book this accommodation each year and ask all plus partners. The house is big and roomy and we all have plenty of room. We have access to all amenities at kingfisher.

Family getaway

Awesome K’gari
The house was beautiful, lovely and spacious for all our family- young and older. Fantastic location in the resort, very quiet but also close to the Kingfisher bay resort facilities. Easy access from the barge too. Everyone was extremely helpful and so nice n happy, great atmosphere all round.

Expansive, tranquil, eco-luxury, beachside retreat house
A perfect space for our women's yoga retreat, with plenty of living and kitchen space. The large balcony was ideal for relaxing along with group practices, as well as the beach-side area for morning and sunset yoga and meditation. It was very soothing being surrounded by relaxing sounds of wildlife, the beach and the breeze blowing through the big gums, and so close to Kingfisher's facilities too.

No Dryer
The property could do with a dryer, the lack of one caused problems in the weather conditions we had and the Kingfisher ones were either busy or too far away.

While we didn't meet, and since i havent had any communication from Chris - or from the resort during his during his stay - it seems that all went well. Payment was swift and house rules seemed to be followed. A good guest - thanks Chris.

Oceanfront Retreat
A fantastic accommodation for 10 adults. It worked perfectly for us. A couple of small things that would belay frustration: 1. Provide more dishwasher tablets. 2. Provide more clothes washer detergent 3. BBQ gas bottle was empty 4. Provide more toilet rolls If we were to provide any of these ourselves, it would be nice to find out before we arrived on the island so we could bring them. 10 people use a lot of toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, etc. Cheers, Woody.

I have to say however I did mention in the 2 prelim emails to bring some xtra toilet paper, detergent and dishwashing tablets - but you must have missed it. Yes, the gas should have been full - housekeeping have been notified to get onto this prior to arrivals. Anyway, thanks again and happy travels.

A long weekend away in paradise
Having been to kingfisher resort before I hoped this experience would be as good as the previous one. We sold the resort to our friends and found a house that would fit 4 couples. Needless to say the house met and exceeded my expectations! It is in a great location, with fantastic facilities and plenty of room to grab your own space if you wanted to. The only slight negative was having to walk the full length of the house to use the toilet as we were in a room without an en-suite. Not really an issue but would have just given the house a final full tick.

Amazing house!
House configuration is best I’ve seen. Main living in the middle of house was spacious for all of us to chill, as well as the large deck area. There was also plenty of kitchenware and dining space for our large group. Will definitely stay again!

Paradise found
From the moment I booked this property and had welcoming Correspondence from Peter, I felt the the holiday had begun. Everything was wonderful for our family get away. Everyone 7-14 years olds was over the moon with the location and the property. Only downside was we didn’t have enough time to fit in all the activities. Looking forward to return to the sound of the waves lapping against the beach as I fall sleep. Thanks

Communication with the owner and check in was flawless. ‘Ocean retreat’ is perfect for a family or group gathering. The accommodation is generous with the outside deck perfect for happy hour, easy walk to beach and the resort

What a House!
This house is as amazing as the photos. The layout, amenities, bedrooms etc. are perfect for large groups. Ample parking for at least 6 cars on the premises also. Peter the property owner was also extremely good to deal with. I can assure you that I will return to this house on my next Fraser Island trip! 5 stars all round!

Great family getaway
The location is perfect and the facilities provided in the house are fantastic! The fact you can also use all the resort facilities is an added bonus. We will definitely be staying here again. I highly recommend it for anyone planning a wedding at Kingfisher as it is the perfect location.

Room with a view
Had a wonderful experience staying at Ocean Retreat, the house was large with plenty of room to house our 11 guests. The location is amazing with the beach only being a very short stroll from the back deck. We had an amazing time and would not hesitate in recommending this property to people in the future.

Family fun on Fraser Island
From my first interaction with Pete over email exchanges I knew our extended family holiday on Fraser Island was going to be incredible. Pete was always there to answer any questions and share some great tips about preparing for, and enjoying, our time in his home nestled at the edge of Kingfisher Bay resort. The house was perfect for everyone (ages ranging from 22 months to 57 years) with a wonderful communal dining/lounge area adjacent to the kitchen offering plenty of room for us to prepare meals. Eating breakfasts on the expansive decking areas overlooking the beach was a real treat, especially when the kookaburras came to join us! The bedrooms were large with amazing views, comfortable beds and clean linen. Being able to do our own washing was appreciated with a toddler and the length of our stay. It is my third visit to Fraser Island and definitely my favourite. We loved the opportunity to self-cater most nights but with the option to use the resort facilities, too. Sunsets on the beach, whale watching, exploring locally and 4 wheel driving up to the Champagne pools, Eli Creek, Lake McKenzie and Central Station topped off an incredible 5 nights. I can't recommend Pete's place highly enough. Thank you ♡

Easter 2019
Excellent house to bring the family together. Plenty of fridge/ freezer room to bring all your supplies with you. Easy access to the beach. Great views of the ocean. Quiet, relaxing and peaceful location. Comfy beds for a great sleep and excellent lounging chairs to relax in. Friendly kookaburra visited daily and the resident goannas are always around for you to watch.

Perfect all round
