About Us:
Grouse Haven Cabin was built in 2003-2004 by the current owners. The cabin was named Grouse Haven because while we were building we could hear the Grouse birds in the area “drumming”. The cabin is secluded in a red pine forest with lots of Mother Nature in its surroundings. There are trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. There is also a picnic area located at the lower end of the 90-acre property that you can get to by hiking trails. The cabin is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes with close proximity to Penn Yan, Hammondsport, Watkins Glen, 2-3 miles to Keuka Lake State Park, the Finger Lakes wineries, micro breweries, Keuka college, and more.

Please put used laundry in pillow case by the door for pick at time of your exit so I know it needs to be laundered. Thank you

Exactly what we needed! Beautiful, clean and organized inside, calm, peaceful and secluded outside. Would definitely love to stay again. No issues, no worries, close to the lake and boat launch. Close enough to towns and restaurants but secluded enough that the only sounds you hear are nature. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place!

Perfect remote setting in the woods. The cabin was good. I did find the cabin decor a little cluttered, but that’s a personal preference. Furniture was comfortable, cabin was clean and absolutely everything we needed was ample.

A truly peaceful experience. Our second time staying definitely will not be our last! I highly encourage anyone who wants a quiet getaway to come here. If you do end up staying grab some maple syrup it is delicious!

We had a wonderful time. It was relaxing and peaceful in Grousehaven cabin surrounded by nature. My sons are adults now and still come every year with my husband and I to get away and meditate in the finger lakes. There is so much to see in the finger lakes. A nice weekend getaway

We wanted to have a disconnected weekend in a cabin and got exactly what we were looking for. Everything worked well. The signage near the road made it easy to find and the maple syrup was great.

Nice cabin and great setting. We loved the privacy and nature that surrounded us. Couldn't find the trails that are listed on VRBO. It's better to go to Keuka Lake State park about 2-3 miles ago where they have marked trails

This house was amazing. Very private and everything listed was spot on accurate. The hosts were very easy to communicate with which we didn't really need to as everything was great. Loved the property with the fire pit and walking trails. Only suggestions I have would be to add a mattress topper on downstairs bedroom bed for added support and the shower head in bathroom was extremely low flow making showering longer due to the extra time needed to rinse off as water pressure was so low which I totally understand being a rental and also did not take away from the truly outstanding property and home this is, truly 5 stars. We will for sure be coming back for a stay again. We love love love that it is pet friendly as well!
