Hike in this park through the seemingly endless woodland and climb to the top of green hills for a spectacular vista of New York’s wine country.

Keuka Lake State Park is a large forested area of hiking trails along a beautiful lake. The scenic park is in the heart of wine country near tremendous views of vineyards and rolling hills. Capture memorable photos of the sparkling blue lake in its fairytale setting.

Enjoy pretty lake views as you picnic with your family at one of the tables scattered around the park. Take the kids to the children’s playground and let them frolic and clamber over the structures for hours.

Keuka Lake is one of the Finger Lakes in western New York State. The 11 long, narrow lakes were formed by glaciers scraping the land, leaving parallel lakes resembling scratches from giant fingers.

The park is located on the western branch of the Keuka Lake’s distinctive Y shape. Ride a bike 45 miles (72 kilometers) around the lake or visit the wineries along the Keuka Lake Wine Trail.

Head to the beach to relax on a warm day and take a cool swim in the lake. Rent a boat slip or use the launch and motor or sail out into the clear waters of the lake. Teach your kids to fish or go after your own record-breaking bass or lake trout.

Camp in this natural wonderland with nothing but the sound of animal calls as an alarm clock. Select from 150 tent and trailer sites in the large campground. Hike and fish during the day and fall asleep in the comfort of your tent at night. The park allows seasonal hunting as well.

After summer, the park becomes a winter wonderland filled with snow. Bring your equipment for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

The park is open year-round, with activities matching seasonal weather. There is an entrance fee per car or bus and additional fees to camp, use the pavilions or rent a boat slip. Bring bicycles to follow a quiet road south along the lakeshore.

Visit Keuka Lake State Park in central New York State’s wine country, a 300-mile (490-kilometer) drive northwest of New York City. The park is just southeast of the small town of Branchport.
