Independent in Kenya Coast

"My stay at Diamonds Dream of Africa was unfortunately a very mixed experience. We arrived late and, despite it being my birthday, our room was not ready upon arrival. The reception staff was not particularly welcoming, and the reception area itself appeared quite dirty, which immediately affected the first impression. There also seemed to be very few staff available during our stay, possibly because there was a team-building event ongoing at the hotel. The food experience was also disappointing. The menu choices were limited, and overall the food felt very basic for a resort of this standard. There is definitely room for improvement in both quality and variety. Housekeeping and guest support were quite poor. On our second day, our room was cleaned very late, and despite calling reception several times requesting basic items like soap and slippers, no one came to assist us. We eventually had to physically go to reception ourselves. At one point, we also had no water in the room. We informed reception, but there was little urgency or follow-up to check whether we were okay. The birthday experience was also mishandled. My friend had organized a surprise cake and birthday song for me, but the staff unfortunately ruined the surprise by repeatedly coming to our table, twice, asking who the birthday girl was. They then brought the cake and singing while I was still eating and seemed unable to wait until we had finished dinner. To make matters worse, they came while my friend was"

"Rooms were amazing! We got upgraded to villa suite by the wonderful manager and very accommodating staff. Food was 8/10, could work on variety throughout the days so it’s not the same everytime but the meat stations changed everyday which was really nice! Entertainment was meh, Could really use improvement but overall experience was 8/10, would definitely recommend and return for a future visit!"

"Property is very very big and right on the beach. I would say the biggest complaint is the wifi in the room is very weak and not that much better when you go around the property. Second, please put a window instead of a screen in the bathroom. We were next to the stairs and it’s just people walking around all hours of the night talking loudly and sliding their feet in their sandals on the ground. Third, it’s not really a complaint but the pool bar would be better if it was completely wrap around. We noticed it was always the same people that went to the pool from opening to close and just stay glued to the pool bar which means less room for other people."

"The spa was excellent, the ambiance of the resort is great It would have been helpful if breakfast was served until 11 AM not 10 AM, as you have to be out of your room by 10 The beach outside the hotel is dissapointing, but you can walk along for a few hundred metres and get the nice beach It was my girlfriends birthday whist we were there, they noticed and did two special treats for her All in all, a great experience, I really do recommend the seafood platter at the beach bar "

"We stayed in room 23 which is like the penthouse suite. The balcony overlooks the ocean and was a wonderful place to watch the sunset. This is a lovely property. The landscaping is unique, the food is good, the bartender and staff are thoughtful and accommodating. Also, the spa was quiet, comfortable and relaxing."
