Relaxing Coastal Inspired Cottage, short walk from the lake!

"It was a cute, clean house in a small, quiet neighborhood very close to lake Erie. The bathrooms were a little tight (for 5 of us haha), but the bedrooms, living room, and dining area were very good size. We loved the fact that it was a dog-friendly place and so close to the lake and a nice play-ground/beach area.We ended up driving to the very near-by Walnut Beach (mainly because we had younger kids and a wagon of stuff for the beach), but it would be a nice, quiet walk (or bike ride) if you would choose that route haha. We also borrowed the beach chairs available in the garage.The bikes in the garage were a nice little bonus too. My oldest son and I enjoyed exploring the neighborhood.The "park-style" bar-b-que stand and the fire-ring in the backbyard was a nice touch as well. It let us enjoy one of the rain-free evenings outside.Check-in was very easy and clean-up was pretty quick.I would definately use the house again if we ever plan on going back to the Walnut Beach area."

"The house was really nice with everything needed. It was not senior friendly especially the full bath. There was no bath mat available for the tub and no grab bars. Otherwise it was very comfortable with plenty of space for our family gatherings."
Large Family Lakehouse on the Coast with Stunning Water Views

"This property in Ashtabula was great as a central location for my husband and I to get together with 8 additional family members for a long weekend. We came from Northwest MI, Columbus OH, Indy, IN, and eastern PA. Kristen was an amazing host!! She quickly responded to messages from the time we booked the property several months in advance to the end of our stay. The home was very clean, had everything needed to prepare meals, nice dining and living spaces. All the upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable. It had plenty of room for us. We loved sitting in the backyard to enjoy the views of Lake Erie. We brought our corn hole game and had some great, and fun competition. The women ruled lol. It was nice walking around the neighborhood and to the quaint town to shop. We strolled along Walnut Beach and found some pretty stones and beach glass chips. We played pickleball at Shenanigans as it was too windy to play at the outdoor courts down the street. It was a bit warm in the building and we had to “deal” with indoor building inconveniences, but we had fun nonetheless! Another day we drove to Madison for a hike at Hogback Ridge Park. The hike took us along a stream with gently flowing waterfalls and woods. Then off to Ferrante Winery in Granger for lunch and wine tasting. We had hoped to eat out at the Briquette (Smokehouse or Grill?) on Monday; however, they are closed Mondays. We used the backyard charcoal grill for one of our dinners during the weekend. It was a lovely stay!"

"Loved the home interior. Very clean and welcoming. The exterior was very dirty. We cleaned both decks with Lysol and brooms. The Fire Pit area is overgrown . Not certain whose responsibility it is to clean exterior . The second floor door to exit needs handle replaced. It falls out when you open the door. While recognizing it is a lake front property, the exterior could do with some extra looking after . All in all, Lovely home , great neighborhood. Thank you"
