"Very friendly staff, amazing location on canal. Room was large and very comfortable. Restaurant is excellent. Had dinner there two evenings and tried five different dishes - all delicious. Some of the best food we've had in Germany. Lots of nice walking paths - along the canal, beach area, to local ruins of a monastery. You can reach the innercity of Greifswald by bus - about 25 minutes away."

Frühstück so lala. Viele Produkte jedoch sahen alle nach Aldi aus. Im Hotel Komoran...

"This is a great resort for families with kids up to about 6 years old. The facilities cater amazingly to thaat age group. For older kids the pool is very good and the games room is also good, but the kids program for 7-9 year olds is only ok. Breakfast buffet is fantastic, with great choices. The appartment we stayed in was a very good size with plenty of space. It is about 15-20 minute walk to the beach, which for us was fine. You can rent bikes for a good proce if you want to explore...

"The room was old and smelled of old carpet and drapes. There were silverfish bugs crawling on the drapes. The bed mattresses were rock hard and uncomfortable. The room was not up to any standard fire code as several door needed a physical metal key to enter with locking doors. Outside the hotel an outdoor nightclub played music at an extremely high volume till 2 am making it impossible to sleep! Avoid this mess at all costs! "

"Clean, well run hotel."

Family-friendly house under Ried, for 6 adults and 1 child, dogs allowed

10/10 Excellent

"Sehr schönes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus. Einzig die unmittelbare Nähe zur Straße mit erheblichem LKW Verkehr war störend. Die nähe zum Achterwasser ist sehr schön und das Haus bietet genügend Platz und Komfort"

Hafenhotel zu Putbus

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful one-night stay at this hotel. The property is spotlessly clean, pleasant, and decorated with great taste. It is ideally situated—nestled in a quiet and peaceful area, yet right in the center of town within walking distance of everything. The breakfast was delicious, featuring a wide variety of fresh products to choose from. To top it off, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Highly recommended!"

Koopmanns Hotel und Lädchen

10/10 Excellent

"Very helpful staff and a very high quality hotel. Centrally located. The number 26 VVR Ortsbus, that is the local town bus service in Göhren stops outside the door in both directions. That is important as Göhren is hilly and the railway station is down in the lower part of town at sea level. If you have ever been in Howth, Ireland it is near identical geography in Göhren. The 21, 29 and also 20 buses that get you into other parts of Rügen stop outside the Heimatmuseum about 200 m away around the corner."

Parkhotel Am Glienberg by Fairway Hotels

8/10 Good

"Everything good, room clean , spacious and airy. Receptionist very nice. Breakfast staff lovely particularly Simon who was brilliant and spoke good English. Nice overall location ,quiet and plenty of parking. However you had to pay for parking, and the swimming pool which is supposed to be heated was very chilly and we couldn't swim. As was the jacuzzi. A shame."

What is the best area to stay in Kemnitz?

The best area to stay in Kemnitz is directly within the village centre, particularly around Dorfstraße.

This central area of Kemnitz is where you'll find the most convenient options for accommodation, often within walking distance of the local church and the few shops and eateries the village offers. It's a quiet, rural setting, great for those looking for a relaxing escape.

Couples looking for a tranquil retreat will find the village centre ideal. It provides a peaceful base for exploring the surrounding Mecklenburg countryside, with opportunities for gentle walks and enjoying the natural surroundings.

For those planning to explore the wider region by car, staying within Kemnitz itself still offers excellent value and convenience.

When is the best time to go to Kemnitz?

The best time to visit Kemnitz, Mecklenburg, Germany, is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September.

The Baltic Sea coast, a short drive from Kemnitz, is particularly inviting during these months.

For couples looking for a relaxed getaway, early summer (May and June) can be perfect. The weather is usually warm enough for strolls and outdoor dining, but the peak summer crowds haven't fully arrived yet, offering a more peaceful experience. You can enjoy the local eateries and the natural beauty of the area without feeling rushed.

Families often find July and August to be the most convenient for a holiday. School breaks align well, and the warmer sea temperatures make beach days more enjoyable.
