"A/C not working properly in one of our two rooms. We called the front desk and they came and set the room temp to 66, which helped a bit but only made the room tolerable, not actually cool. Our room next door by contrast was set at 68 and was noticeably cooler. The breakfast buffet was edible, but ..."

Checkerboard guest house close to charming downtown + family-friendly yard space
"We had a great stay at the Checkerboard guesthouse! My daughter and I were staying here for a dance competition, and the setup was perfect for us. There are two beautiful bedrooms and full amenities for a comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the hot tub! Highly recommended."
