Spotlessly Clean, comfortable and warm.
We stay here as a family frequently. This is our preferred accommodation in Kawhia and we always book to stay here. We frequently return to Kawhia for funerals and Marae related occasions. It's spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. You have all you need to cook meals with eating utensils. Washing machine etc available upon request for laundry needs. The shower and bathroom is modern, clean with plenty of hot water. Finally, the owners went out of their way, to return belongings accidentally left behind after checkout. We are very grateful. A wonderful property and wonderful and kind proprietors.

Near the water and close to town
Good location. Only met Ray who was very nice and friendly. He gave us some local advise. Close to water and town. Great for fishing. Had meal at The Sands. Very nice. Great for unwinding.

Great place to stay
Ray and Helen were great hosts and it was clean and is better than the photos. The garden was beautiful in summer. You can hear some noise from upstairs but that didn't bother us. If you're going during the week, especially Monday and Wednesday, there aren't that many food options. Interestingly the Waitomo gas station was the best food store to gather groceries.

This has everything you need
I stayed here with three friends. We travelled at short notice for a funeral in the area. Communication with Ray was excellent, and he was a great host. The unit was well presented and suited our needs perfectly.

Way better than pictures relay. Clean and warm. Only criticism, the beds were a little uncomfortable. But overall awesome for accessing hot water beach and had everything you needed. Even supply a shovel. 👍

We had stayed at the property earlier this Year and really enjoyed the lovely bach and Kawhia beaches & community. We unfortunately had to change our booking for August stay due to our Chartered Fishing Trip was cancelled due to rough sea conditions and arranged another stay in which we were assisted by Helen and Ray to stay at the bach in October, all goes well with the weather. we can go on our Fishing Trip.

Home away from home
Lovely place to stay. Warm, cozy, comfortable and clean. The owners are very accomodating and even allowed extra people to stay for a night at late notice due to their accommodation falling through. Although I paid for the extra people, it's more about acknowledging that they were flexible and didnt make me feel uncomfortable asking them. I really appreciate the hospitality and service.

Being met on arrival even though we didnt arrive till 9pm wS appreciated. Very nice man, unfortunately we didn't get to met the lady of the establishment, as qe left early in the morning for fishing.would highly recommend to friends.
