Amazing outdoor onsen!

AMAZING place! Outdoor onsen is absolutely stunning, and the pool is also great. Staff people are super nice and friendly and food is amazing here. Absolutely recommended!!

当日案内してくれた男性は、とても良い人でしたが、説明不十分でした。過去に天城荘は利用していたので、貸切風呂を楽しみにしていたのに具体的な説明もなく、結局空いているのに利用できませんでした。とても残念でした。 でも、主人が気に入ったので河津桜の時期に予約しました。

お部屋はこじんまりでしたが風情があり、お部屋からの山々の眺めは素晴らしかったです。 アメニティも充分でした。 お食事は素朴な田舎料理という感じですが、量が多くかなり満腹になりました。 お風呂は大浴場から外浴場と楽しめるのでオススメです。 滝が見える外浴場は混浴で水着が必要ですのでお忘れなく。

Perfect place

We loved staying a night at Amagiso and will return for sure. The check-in process was easy and the gentleman at the front desk was super friendly and professional (I think his name is Hittori). He worked very hard to make sure that we understood the onsen rules and made us feel welcome there. Our room was pretty large and well-appointed, with all the basic amenities. There were two double beds, a small table, and a TV. There was also an indoor balcony with seats and a minibar to store food and drinks. The hotel is a bit dated, but it's charming and traditional. The onsens are amazing. There were so many options, from indoors to outdoors, with different water temperatures. There is also a cool cave onsen and a nice warm pool. Due to covid, I can tell that the hotel had to cut down on servicers and dinner was not being provided. There aren't any restaurants by the hotel, so we drove for about 15 minutes and eat at a delicious Yakinuku place. If you don't have a car, I suggest bringing some food. There are plenty of snacks and drinks (including alchool) machines around the hotel. The hotel is located inside of a beautiful forest, so you will see tons of bugs and insects outdoors. I will tell you that it's worth though. The outdoor area is one of the most beautiful places I've seen. There is a huge waterfall and lots of outdoor onsens. It's such a neat experience seating by the onsen and contemplating the waterfall.

滝がすぐ近くにあり、最高の環境でした。建物の古さは仕方ないけど、中は清潔にされていて好感が持てます。食事はシンプルですが美味しかったです。

素泊まり1泊

平日だったのでたまたま数組しか宿泊者がいなかったため静かにのんびり過ごすことができました。 建物は昭和の古さがありますが(廊下の寒さなど)、旅館は経営が変わったところで手を加えた部分があり、当日の部屋の清掃がきちんとされていたので快適でした。 建物が古いため部屋にコンセントが少ないです。 延長コードを持って行くと便利かと思います。 スタッフはひとりしか見かけませんでしたが、とても一生懸命に対応している姿が好印象でした。

There is a nostalgic charm about the hotel. Easy access to the wonderful onsen pools next to the waterfall. Soaking in a hot onsen next to the waterfall and stream under a starry sky is a wonderful experience.

Excellent overnight at amagiso. Onsentastic

wonderful stay at Amagiso, just be aware the waterfall onsen are a 300m walk outside to get to from the hotel. but when you're warm from the onsen it's fine. Food course was excellent. best regards to Watanabe-san and Ojima-san that helped us at dinner, and to the kind reception staff who dealt with all our inquiries with fluent english

滝を見ながらの温泉は最高

なんと言っても滝を見ながらの温泉なんて初めてで最高でした。温泉はいくつかあって、滝に1番近いものはほぼ水風呂なので、そこだけ注意かもしれません。

事前に口コミを見て伺ってはいたのですが、やはり皆様からのお食事の評価が悪い理由が分かった気がしました。4人で利用させて頂いたのですが席に案内されるなり、お鍋等に火はつけていただいたものの、他のテーブルは事細かくお食事の詳しい説明をされているのにこちらはなんの説明もなく、食べていいのかがわからず戸惑っていた所、従業員のおばさまが召し上がれ〜と言ってきて、そこであ、食べていいんだと4人で苦笑いしてお食事がスタートしました。そして、あるお料理の付属のタレ？が私の所には用意されていたのですが、他の3人の所には用意されてなく、味のないまま食べていました。男の従業員の方もマスクをしているせいか声が小さくなにをおっしゃっているのかも全然わからず、残念でした。 朝ごはんは最初のご案内で、8時からとなっています。のみおっしゃっていたので、8時からだったら何時でも良いのかと思っていたら朝電話がなりそれで目覚め、会場は9時までになっておりますとのこと。なにも知らなかったので急いで身支度をし、向かいました。席につき目の前の大きな箱の蓋を開けていただくと中身がすっからかんでビックリ。もっと小さいお皿に盛り付けたらよかったのでは？という気持ちとこの品数でごはんを食べなきゃいけないのか、と目がようやく覚めました。 お部屋は壁がしみだらけで、照明も薄暗く、部屋の入り口のドアも内開きのため、靴をわざわざどけないと開かない、トイレとのドアがぶつかる等不便でした。 到着時に館内の説明をしてくださった時、お風呂の数がこんなにもあるのか！しかもプールも！とテンションが上がり、大浴場とはべつに屋外のお風呂とプールに食事後行ったものの、坂になっていて階段もあり仕方ないですが、虫がものすごかったのと下が濡れていたので何回も滑って転びそうになり、滝は夜でも圧倒的感動でしたが、更衣室はなかなか見つからず、プールもライトアップされていると聞いていたので楽しみにしてたのですが中々見つからず、見つけたと思ったら外灯が1個しかなく、虫がすごかったのと薄暗く不気味で入ろうとは全くなりませんでした。案内看板などもなくすごく迷ってしまい、プラス暗くて足元も不安定だったので、怖かったです。 この時期にこの料金だったので、利用させていただきましたが、また来たい、次は両親を連れて行きたいなど全く思いませんでした。

Séjour très relaxant

Hôtel au calme en proximité des cascades. L’hôtel a d’ailleurs des bains en exterieur qui donnent sur une cascade (pensez a votre maillot de bain) et des bains intérieurs très agréables. Une navette en bus depuis la gare existe avec 2 horaires le matin et l’après-midi.

Great place to stay

The area it locates at is beautiful. The facilities are good and i specifically recommend the hot spring in the cave. View from hotel is nice, the only thing you have to be cautious of is the restaurants nearby close before 6 in winter.

Fantastique

Fantastique. Les onsens sont fabuleux, surtout celui dans la grotte qu'il faut réserver. 1h seul a profiter d'un lieu magnifique. Les autres onsens sont aussi fantastiques, tels que ceux au pied de la cascade. Le repas aussi est génial. Très Japon traditionnel, c'est un repas gastronomique.

The outdoor onsens are great, there are 4 onsens besides the waterfall which you can enjoy the great view while soaking and listening to the sound of the stream running down from the waterfall. Another cave onsen which are 70m deep inside the cave, and one free private cave onsen that must be rsvp before hand. Inside the hotel there is also an onsen to enjoy. We book a room with half board, although the price is on high side but is definately worth it with its great service, the onsens in nature and comfy bed. Highly recommend.

大人2人と1歳になる子供を連れて宿泊。 ◆一泊二日(夕食、朝食あり) ◆部屋風呂付き ◆子供は寝具・食事無し 合計53786円でした。 【お風呂】 ◆外湯エリア プールもお風呂も水着着用の混浴でした。 家族で一緒に楽しめて良かったです。 大滝を眺めながらの露天風呂は最高でした！ 子供がまだオムツが取れていないのでプールはどこも連れて行けなかったのですが、天城荘さんは水遊びオムツ着用であればOKとのことで、初めて子供連れでプール遊びができました。 温水なので小さい子供も安心です。夏場で温水は暑いかなと心配してましたが、山なので涼しくてちょうど良かったです。 外湯エリアに行くためのサンダル、クロックス等無料で使えるので荷物が少なくてありがたいです。 ◆内湯 外湯が大満足だっただけに、内湯はがっかりしてしまいました。脱衣所の床は若干カビていて、マットは洗濯していないのかベトベトしていて足が痒くなりました。 ◆部屋風呂 源泉かけ流しの露天風呂と、檜の浴槽が付いた部屋でした。 外灯にカブトムシなど虫が100匹くらい（大袈裟じゃなく）集まっていて 露天風呂に入るのは諦めました… 山だから仕方ない部分はあると思いますが 電気をLEDに変えるなど虫よけの対策もできるのかなと思います。 檜の浴槽は下のほうに小さいキノコが生えていました… ◆食事 朝も夜も量が少しもの足りなかったです。 味は普通でした。素泊まりにして食事は現地で とればよかったと少し後悔しました。 ◆アメニティー タオルの量が充実していて、プールの利用時にも安心できました。 洗面台には男性用と女性用で分けてアメニティーを 用意してくれていて嬉しかったです。 ◆館内着 子供用の浴衣が豊富で、小さいサイズだと80から利用できたので 子供連れには嬉しいサービスだと思いました。 女性は浴衣を数種類の中から選べてそれも良かったです。 ◆接客 どのスタッフさんもとても親切で気持ち良く過ごせました。
