We wanted to try out this hotel based on the good reviews it had. We did the reservation on hotels.com and received a confirmation from hotels.com. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk staff informed us that there is no such reservation. We were stuck outside the lobby for almost 2 hours with our 2 year old daughter. It was very frustrating. After sometime the hotel front desk person informed us that the online booking system was managed by a 3rd party company and we have to speak to the 3rd party who handle the online bookings to sought this out, since it was the online booking companies responsibility for not passing the booking to the hotel. It was extremely disappointing to hear that, as it's not our concern to know who handle what. And then they were trying to find a different hotel, which we did not want. After about 2 hours waiting in the lobby the resident manager came and informed us that they will provide us a room and things will be taken care of. We appreciate the effort put by the resident manager to take care of the situation. We recommend anyone doing an online booking with Tamarind Lake to call the confirm the booking as there online booking system is completely broken, as the hotel does not know when a guest make reservations online. We appreciate the effort put by the resident manager to settle the issue, hotel has to take responsibility for these incidents as a customer it's irrelevant for the customer to know who handles which part of the business.
