I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotell Conrad. Staff is super nice, it's very clean, nice decoration, comfortable and nice rooms. It gave me the feeling of being back home. The only one thing I'd warn about is that doors of rooms shut too strong and loud, which can be bothersome if you're a light sleeper.

Staff needs training

PLUS: - Nice room - Close to the central station - Old historical building - Comfortable bed - Nice courtyard MINUS: - Staff needs training. I booked the hotel partly because it has a gym and pool. Staff doesn't know how guests can access the gym/pool so couldn't exercise the first day. Later on another staff member gave the right code. Went to the gym and the machines are old and squeaky. It's all very dusty and the pool is under renovation. This wasn't mentioned anywhere. Not even when I was heading to the gym/pool area, did the staff inform me. I had to find out myself that the pool area was under construction. - Very bad internet - Crumbs on the sofa - On my last day, the luggage that I had asked them to store after checkout had disappeared and I almost missed my train as I helped the poor new staff member in the reception try to figure out where my bags are. After many calls and investigations, we found my luggage in a storage room where no other bags were. - The sound isolation in the rooms is horrible so you can hear everything going on outside which makes it difficult to sleep. All in all, bad value for money. The staff needs training and is very unmotivated. Would not recommend this hotel.

Loved our room in the apartment, so very roomy. Staff was very nice and helpful. Parking was great. One slight hiccup, housekeeping came into our room very early and woke us up. Very startling!

A bit of a disappointment

This is not a four star hotel as stated in their advertisement.The staff is really nice and kind (Surprisingly young, though. Maybe they are students having job for the summer?) The wifi didn’t work at all when we came in the early evening. It started to work in the morning, though. I got the impression that the management of the hotel did not help enough the young stuff who were doing their best. In addition, there was frozen bread at the breakfast table and overall a bit run down atmosphere.

This hotel is listed as four * it would be lucky to be 2* in the UK. The uniqueness of this hotel is that they only clean, and I use that term very loosely, between customers! Apparently they say they are saving the planet! The tea and coffee is nearly non existent with a bowl of stale sticky sweets - nothing is replenished. They include a light supper Monday to Thursdays and once it’s gone it’s gone! Don’t worry though because it is really not worth eating anyway! If you get an apartment it is about 150yds down the road in a dingy block totally separate from the hotel which is spread over several buildings. We carried our cases to the top floor because we thought the old service “lift” was for rubbish! The corridor lights only go on as you pass under them which is extremely creepy if you are on your own. All in all avoid this hotel it is expensive, dirty and certainly inappropriate if you are disabled as it is accessed practically everywhere by steep unsafe steps! It is certainly not disabled friendly and would not pass a UK equality access assessment! Also be aware you will have to carry your own luggage up these steps, some which are breaking up, as there is no help from the very limited staff. All in all AVOID THIS HOTEL!

Ett riktigt panghotell! Rent och fint, familjär stämning, det visade sig att det ingick en väldigt trevlig middagsbuffé med hembakt bröd och även våffelmöjligheter. Har bara gott att säga om detta fina hotell. Kändes så genuint genomtänkt och omtänksamt. Kommer garanterat bo här igen.
