We really enjoyed our stay at the Palace. It is a complex of 5-6 buildings connected with a maze of corridors. It was interesting to wander around. The pool was quite far though and it was inconvenient. The water in the whirlpool was not hot enough, so we only visited twice during our 6 day stay. Breakfast food was great and abundant. There was a way to take an elevator to one of the colonnades, but if you don't figure it out you would have to hike up the hill . I think next time I would pick something more conveniently located to the center. I was also dismayed by the amount of russian tourists in the hotel. I thought the visas were not granted during the conflict.

Classic hotel a little way out of the center. Retains much of the original style. Warning: you have to book parking in advance: there are no other possibilities close by.

Russian Hill in Karlovy Vary

Way up a hill far away from the main areas. Mostly Russian guests, with service catering to them and little English spoken. Check in took forever and check out is at 10 am, unforgivable. Breakfast was nasty but the cafe server was very hospitable and housekeeping was fine.

sehr schönes Hotel für Kurzurlaub

Das Hotel hat wirklich Stil man fühlt sich beinahe in eine "alte Zeit" zurückversetzt. Das Frühstück könnte etwas umfangreicher sein, es war aber grundsätzlich schon ausreichend. Irritierend war lediglich, dass man am Abend ein der Bar mehr als 10 Minuten auf ein Bier warten musste, obwohl überhaupt nichts los war (offenbar hat die Bedienung den Zapfhahn nicht richtig bedienen können)

Das Frühstücksbuffet ist eher ein 3* Standard, wenn denn alles da wäre. Obwohl der Saal nicht voll war, waren viele Sachen vergriffen und wurden auch nicht umgehend aufgefüllt. Das Hotel scheint der Situation nicht Herr zu werden oder möchte es nicht, zumal ich vorab ähnliche Kommentare gelesen habe. Daher konnte ich mich darauf einstellen und war nicht enttäuscht. In Summe empfehlenswert!

It's a beautiful old hotel with unique architecture and history. The spa and relaxation amenities were phenomenal. Bar & restaurant were well-run and had great options. Would be nice if any staff spoke English, but understandable.
