Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Karlovice?
The best area to stay in Karlovice is directly within the village centre, particularly near the main road, for easy access to amenities and local attractions.

Karlovice is a smaller village located in the beautiful Moravian-Silesian Region, and the main area of interest is concentrated along its central thoroughfare, which connects the various parts of the village. This area provides convenient access to local shops, eateries, and the starting points for many of the region's hiking trails.

For families, staying in the heart of Karlovice is excellent due to the proximity to local parks and the opportunity for easy access to outdoor activities. Many accommodations here offer family-friendly facilities, making it simple to organise day trips to nearby natural sights or cultural attractions.

Couples looking for a relaxing escape will also find the village centre appealing.
When is the best time to go to Karlovice?
The best time to go to Karlovice is generally during late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these shoulder seasons, the weather is typically mild and comfortable, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the surrounding Jeseníky Mountains without the peak summer heat or the chill of winter. You'll find the natural landscape at its most picturesque, with spring blossoms or autumn foliage.

For those keen on winter sports, the period from mid-December to March offers reliable snow conditions. This is the prime time for skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing in the nearby resorts. While it's colder, the winter landscape is quite beautiful, and many hotels offer cosy amenities.
