This hotel has been my preferred choice whenever I visit my family in Kaohsiung since 2016. The service is always exceptional, and the front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. The room size varies, so make sure to choose the one that suits your needs. The amenities in the room are comfortable, and I have no complaints. However, I would like to suggest that they add weights to the fitness center. The breakfast buffet is enjoyable, and I have had it in the past when it was included in the room rate. If not, there are plenty of options available around the hotel. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby, and parking is included.

Big improvement on Customer Service and WIFI
Pros: Hotel decor is nice. Breakfast was great. Rooms were big. Cons: 1. The card that I made reservation with was compromised before I left for the trip. Since I got a new card and cancelled old card, hotel could not do pre-authorization. Hotel emailed me saying that if I did not provide a new card for pre-authorization along filling the authorization form, my booking of two rooms for 2 nights would be cancelled. I told them that I was already in Taiwan and on the road. Hotels.com does not allow update on credit card information. I had no way to print out the form and sent back. Hotel insisted. Out of 7 bookings I made in Taiwan, Hotel Dua was the only one that insisted on that. Caused a lot of unnecessary inconvenience. This is a huge minus on customer service. 2. Water pressure and WIFI were very weak.

Nice but need improvement
Decor of the hotel was great. Breakfast was great. However, below are few improvement that hotel needs to make: 1 The credit card I used for booking was compromised. Hotel could not do pre-authorize. I could not update payment information. Hotel could not accept my new credit card info. I had to fill a form (on the road) or else they would cancel my booking even though I assured them that I was already in Taiwan and will be there. This was the only hotel among all 7 bookings I made in Taiwan. Not customer friendly at all. 2. Water pressure and WIFI at hotel was SUPER weak. I was disappointed as the hotel is nice.

高空酒吧飲料好喝,景色很美。早餐種類豐富,在高空享受早餐的經驗非常好。房間很寬敞,兩個行李箱攤開都綽綽有餘,備品的質感很好。床軟硬適中,枕頭包覆性加隔天睡起來精神飽滿。飯店的地點離捷運站只要10秒鐘,下次還會想再入住。

Generally pleased with my 2 nights stay. Lobby and room look very similar to what you see on the hotel page. Staff accommodated to early check in request and arranged for luggage to be sent to the room when it was available. Room was very spacious with lots of sitting area. Location was very close to exit 6 of famosa boulevard station and liuhe night market. Location is easily accessible to cijin and Rui feng night market which are a few mrt stops away. Breakfast spread is not fantastic but decent enough to suit the different palate.

1) Good location, near MRT. 2) Good variety of breakfast. 3) Spacious room. However, it is not hygienic to place clean towels next to the anti-slip plastic floor map (to be used in shower room). It is good to separate the placing of clean towels and anti-slip floor map. 4)The hotel charged to my credit card in USD currency when they did the pre-authorisation. But when I did the booking, the total payable amount was clearly stated to be in TWD currency. Upon my arrival at the hotel, the front office staff explained that for overseas credit card, their local bank will use USD currency. This is not the usual practice in my years of personal experiences with overseas hotel booking, including my earlier past two trips in Taiwan.

Hotel is well located, just a few minute from subway for getting to the main attractions. Very comfortable bed and quiet room. Overall good value considering it match big name international hotels for reasonable money. We opted for the executive room for a little extra, the room is very generously sized.

Other than the goods of the hotel commented by visitors worldwide and the bads of inadequate lighting, paper thin walls and so-so breakfast buffet, the bad experience began on my day 1 morning. I went with my family to the cafe for a paid breakfast buffet and was told a room number under my booking was already used (by someone) in the morning. Even though the staff said that it is ok for a re-entrance of the same person, the truth is none of us has ever visited the cafe since we checked in. On day 2 the same situation happened again and it was getting even worse. I had been questioned FOUR TIMES of my room number by 3 staffs on the way to the table because they said that my room number was already registered by someone else (again) for an earlier entry according to their record. I was very offended by the manner of being interrogated and the fact that I paid the breakfast out of my own pocket and it is not free. I made a complaint at the front desk the next day and requested to put a cancellation on the breakfast list in the following days even they do not make any refunds. Look, this is obviously a loophole in the procedures since anyone can walk in for a free meal simply by telling a room number without the need to provide a voucher or a proof of payment. NO apologies, NO follow-up and NOTHING heard from the hotel ever since then. If this is a service level benchmark of a so-called 4-star hotel, this would be absolutely a very disastrous customer service at Hotel dua.
