They forced me to pay to park in the parking lot on the hotel property. They also charged me $75 for pets, which is very high. Most places are $25-50. The windows lacked a closable curtain to block out the street light outside so it was almost daylight inside the room without any lights on. Some lights in the room didn’t work. The man working the front desk was very nice but had no power to assist. Not worth the price I paid for the room. Won’t do it here again.

check in was fine. the room we got was dirty and didn't have soap, shampoo or towels. the toilet was not working and there were profanities written on the toilet cover. The pool was out of order (which is one of the main reason's we chose that hotel) they never told us before or during check out.

The breakfast area was not clean. There was no hot water for showers. Has been broken for 2 weeks. Pool was cold because of water heaters broken. Property needs updated. Both of our rooms had plugged kitchen sinks. Not satisfied at all. I have stayed in other homewood suites that were exemplary!

Great for families!!
Having two separate rooms was fantastic so we could put kids to bed at different times. It truly was a bedroom separated by a regular door. And the front desk was friendly and helpful when we had a minor question. My only disappointment were the TV options. We booked for a fun family getaway so we planned to explore KC but crash at the hotel for swimming and shows with the kids. The only option was regular programming (no subscription capability), but the TV guide channel listed every channel as "no information available". We were stuck with old-school channel surfing. That's definitely unusual for kids these days. Ha! But it made it hard to find something for us to sit together and watch for our winter family stay. The boys all enjoyed the pool!!

Do not recommend if you want decent sleep!
You can hear everything in the hotel rooms. Doors closing, people in the hallway talking, toilets flushing, and probably the worst you can hear every step the people above you take. If you want decent sleep, I do not recommend this hotel. When I called the front desk, they were extremely rude as well.

This hotel is in an excellent location. The hotel was clean and quiet. We did not enjoy the beds and the room layout. The room design isn’t the best for a family since the sink and vanity have no door and face the beds. Anytime someone uses the restroom and washes their hands in the middle of the night, it wakes everyone else up.

The room was oddly laid out. The TV was hard to see from either the couch or the bed and there was not much variety of programs to watch. The desk was broken. Not to mention, but we were woken up at 2:00 a.m. by the fire alarm. Of course, it was a false alarm, thank goodness. Although the breakfast looked like it might have been pretty good, it was closed when we got there. The room was too pricey for what they offered. The idea of having the bathroom wide open to the room was inconvenient.

Dogs were all over the hotel. All of the rooms are open to dogs. There were dogs in the lobby. We should have checked that before we booked the hotel. If they would have had a floor for dogs or something but the whole hotel, every room? This is just gross and dangerous to people with allergies

Was an average experience all the way around. Some attention to detail is needed. No one at the desk for 10 mins when trying to check in. Full trash from previous guest was left in room, took over 20 hrs to empty while leaving it in the hallway and two calls to the front desk. Asked for an emailed receipt and never received one. Sadly what has become expected to be average. Weight room was nice and kept clean. Liked that they had fruit on breakfast bar.

Room was clean, however there was a loud, very loud noise that went on and off for hours. Went down for breakfast just after 8am and there was zero food, trash over flowing the trash cans and piled on counters and tables. Wet towels left by someone in the elevator the entire weekend. Home wood Suites is definitely not like it used to be. Shampoo and body wash in the shower, no conditioner, pillows flatter than a pancake and comforter was weird material.

We never received a bill through email or under the door or at checkout. I had to call my credit card company to see how much I was charged. The breakfast was not good. It was powdered eggs mixed with cold sausage. I also made some hot chocolate with the water marked hot but it was ice cold. Room was clean though.

The walls are paper thin. You will hear everything, from young children to alarm clocks. The staff seamed bothered when we arrived. But the property was very clean.
