Nice and cozy house. Plenty of room for 4-6 people to stay. Good location. Nice to not have to provide toilet paper, trash bags, etc. The host was awesome! Easy to work with and very helpful.
This place is great! It has everything you need for a short stay or a long stay. Highly recommend! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in KC. The owner was very attentive, communicating clearly and quickly, and was very friendly.
Very cute, clean, comfortable place. Easy to get to and close to everywhere we wanted to go. John was very quick to answer all the questions I had. We hope to be able to come and stay again, but stay longer next time. So much more of the city to explore!
The host was very responsive. Lovely home with 2 bathrooms. Loved the laundry and kitchen large enough for meals and cooking. My teens took walks and went on runs in the trail. Enjoyed the local thrift shops. And proximity to since fast food and bbq.
We enjoyed being at the house. It was plenty of room. The only thing it was a huge spider and a huge cricket in the master bedroom. But other than that we had a good time staying there.
The Crown House was lovely—very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to stretch out. The location—right next to the converted trolley trail, and in a safe and fun neighborhood—was great. Restaurants, great coffee shop, and bars/breweries in walking distance, grocery store nearby, and an easy drive to other parts of town. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, and other kitchen essentials to cook at home. And John was a great communicator and very helpful. Easily one of the most comfortable stays I've had in a VRBO rental.
I’ll start with the positives. House is generally well located with easy access to Kansas City sites. The Trolley trail was great for walking our dog and there were always people out and about. Walkable to a Bier garden and ice cream shop and close to a shopping center with Target, Trader Joe’s a movie theater etc. The neighborhood seems to be a mixed bag- some nice houses some run down ones. This property is renovated, but still a little worn out. Weeds in the front yard, dingy rugs and the table on the outside deck was so weathered it was uncomfortable to sit at. The floors could have used a good mopping and the main bathroom shower curtain had mildew on it which made the bathroom smell. The property right across the street is a real estate business with a dumpster out front. I would have expected more for the price they’re asking. We also had an issue with the electricity having been out when we arrived. The owner refunded us, but the thermostat was inoperable for the length of our stay. We had ac, but couldn’t adjust the temperature. I would have liked a grill out back and an icemaker in the fridge , but the kitchen was otherwise well stocked. Overall we were a little disappointed with the house- it could stand a bit of a refresh.
This property was exactly as described and was the perfect place for our group. We would highly recommend Crown House to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Kansas City.
The location of this cute little bungalow can't be beat. We were close to so much and it was a great way to see the city. It was so easy to get around. Also, there is a walking trail right next door which is incredible for morning walks.
This property was a gem of a find in the Waldo neighborhood. Nicely renovated small old home in an established neighborhood close to lots to do in Kansas City. Owners were a pleasure to work with communicated with us quickly and kindly. Would recommend this property.
I love the crown house, when booking this property I was very excited and didn’t even know they had tiaras around the house you could wear. Was such a fun experience, everything was well cleaned and organized well, the communication with the host was really simple and easy. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend.
Great place to stay while visiting Kansas City. Located in a cute safe neighborhood. Close to many eateries and evening entertainment. Adorable little house, clean. Nice to have keurig and oatmeal first morning. It was the perfect place for me, my 3 adult children and daughter in law. John kept me well informed and checked on us thru Vrbo often. If we ever come back to KC we would definitely stay here again. Thanks John!
Mosquitoes greeted us heartily when we arrived, making any time spent outdoors unpleasant & risky.
Can’t believe they consider Lamar’s Donuts their favorite - service was curt, donuts were common& price was outlandish — $28. for a dozen holes, 3 bear claws & 2 coffees!!!
The place, like so much these days was over-priced & bed linens were cheap…
Sound like Oskar, don’t I..?
We only spent one night at this house and were not there very much. Clean and cute. He allowed for us to early check in because we had an event to go to, and we appreciated that. Great communication. My only complaint was my bed was not very comfortable & felt uneven.
This was one of our top 5 VRBO experiences. The cute little home was very clean, beautifully decorated, with super comfy beds, couches, nice appliances, etc. The icing on the cake was their attention to detail in providing thoughtful extras: snacks & amenities for children, every kitchen & bathroom item you'd need, a great TV with streaming access, and fun extras like the photo op wall and all the crown themed accessories. We had some issues with the door lock & a blown fuse but they were quickly resolved and will be addressed. The owners are very responsive, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
We had 3 couples visiting Kansas City for one night and this was the perfect place to stay! It was a great location with much very nearby. I especially loved the walking/running trail just a few steps away from the front door. Great place to exercise or simply enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Although the 6 of us were only there one night, we took full advantage of the back deck until way past our 50+ yo bed times. 😁 The solar string lights gave a perfect glow for the great conversations and laughs. Also…their beds are soooooo comfortable!! Amazing. It is obvious lots of love and thoughtfulness went into decorating this beautiful home. John was very helpful and available when needed. As well, there is GREAT information given for every aspect of your visit in the information sent and the information located at the home. Thought of everything. Definitely stay here!! You will love.
