The story of Old Camp is interesting and the area behind is interesting for hiking. It is far from the airport which makes it s little complicated. But we only met nice and helpful people so it was a great experience

Good for a stopover but pretty basic

Quite far away from the airport, but pretty nice and low light area, good to spot aurora. Rooms and breakfast are basic

Hostel with minimal amenities but nothing crucial missing. The only challenge was regulating heat in the room on warmish nights, but we figured out how to block open the window so that it wouldn’t squeak or bang. I would definitely stay there again.

Great stay!

Great cozy lodge with free transportation to and from the airport. Rooms are small, but very comfortable. The free breakfast was simple, but delicious. Services generally good, and they do have a kitchen that you can use to prepare meals, though it is very far from the grocery store, so come prepared.

A realy nice place with very solution oriented staff. A bit removed from the airport and town center, which is nice but slightly inconvenient.

Very clean. Very old. All facilities are very limited but then it doesn't pretend to be otherwise. Front desk staff are great!

Old Camp is exactly as it describes itself: basic shared facilities in a spectacular setting. The rooms are functional and very clean. The shared areas are useful and comfortable. The staff is outstanding! There is regular transportation to the other end of town, but the walk is easy, peaceful, and lovely. And even though Kangerlussuaq is small, staying in Old Camp feels more like getting out into the country.

We get free upgrade to hotel Kangerlussuaq, just inside the airport, but have to carried luggage up and down for check.in/check-out and to the room. The room is very small but comfortable. We managed to capture northern light just outside the hotel.

during the night the bunk bed collapsed under me and it was only by sheer luck that my brother and I escaped without serious injury. the hotel is really worn out, better go somewhere else.

Good

Only used as a base for stays outside but it served its purpose quite well. Bit far "out of town" but then nothing is really far so that isn't really a problem. Arguably it is a bit basic here but it does not pretend to be anything other than that and if you come to Greenland expecting different things then you are probably not being realistic.
