The hotel itself is very charming- quiet, green, scenic, with a fantastic swimming pool. The rooms are simple but inviting with their outdoor terrace and wood walls inside. The location is about a 10 min taxi ride from town which for me was an advantage since it's so quiet and peaceful at the hotel. We had a taxi come each day to go to Kanchanaburi for dinner. The menu in the hotel restaurant was pretty much all "fried", "crispy" or "deep fried" items. I can count on one hand the number of non fried items. (But dining in town is pretty amazing, possibly some of the best meals I had on this trip). The hotel breakfast, in my opinion, is really quite bad by Thailand standards. I have traveled to Thailand over 40 times and stayed at many hotels. The juices are not even freshly squeezed at the breakfast buffet. They are from a container. Breakfast was a big disappointment. Hotel wifi is pretty bad. Not many outlets in the rooms for charging your devices. Anyway for the price of the hotel per night it's best to simply enjoy the pool and the quiet then leave the hotel to eat.
