Located in the heart of Kampen on a park-like lot, this house successfully blends tradition and modernity.
Loddis Leev was completely renovated, preserving the house’s historical character while bringing it into the present. The result is a wonderful blend of nostalgia, art, and design.
The centrepiece of the ground floor is undoubtedly the large living room with its wood panelling and tiled stove—which has been converted into a gas fireplace—creating an atmosphere of pure cosiness. The highlight is the window seats offering a view of the greenery. Also worth a look: one-of-a-kind pieces such as souvenirs and vintage treasures that lend the room its charm. The ultimate luxury: the terrace, which opens onto a park-like, fully fenced-in green space and, with its large table, is perfect for social gatherings. Another terrace with lounge chairs also invites you to enjoy plenty of sunbathing.
In addition, there is another small living room on the ground floor with a cosy sofa where you can “celebrate” your downtime. Adjacent to it is a bright bathroom with a wheelchair-accessible shower.
From the living room, you enter the dining room. It is completely lined with historic Delft faience, which is arranged around the large dining table with its nautical cabin lamp. Who wouldn’t want to sit here together in comfort? The groundwork for this is laid in the spacious kitchen, which has been fully equipped with new appliances and leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to cooking.
Last but not least, there is a small guest bathroom on the ground floor where an antique ceramic sink with floral decor takes centre stage.
Even the staircase leading to the ground floor is something very special here: The banister is made of twisted ship’s rope and culminates in a maritime column topped with a nautical lantern.
Upstairs, there’s once again a contemporary mix of modern design and
collectibles. Of the three bedrooms here, each is decorated in a different colour scheme. One is blue and white with yellow accents, the next is yellow and white with a large en suite bathroom featuring a soaking tub, and the last is red and white with two alcove beds that provide the ultimate in cosiness. All bedrooms feature high-quality mattresses and TVs.
Another bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as a large hallway with a reading nook, round out the upper floor.
Now for the basement. Here, everything revolves around health. Perfectly situated under the stairs, an infrared sauna invites you to work up a sweat, and anyone who wants to stretch thoroughly or work out their muscles can do so in the small fitness corner.
