"The photos are accurate. The place is very clean and updated. The beds were comfortable. The parking spot fit a Toyota Noah van with maneuvering. Our family of 4 would come back. Two block walk from the river if you wanted a morning walk or jog along it. FYI the flight of stairs to living quarters is steep, narrow and approximately 20. You will need to be able to carry your suitcases up, especially difficult if large and heavy."

"Exellent dinner buffet! Free shuttles (reserved) from Asahikawa and to Biei were very convenient. 3 mins walk to the famous Shirogane Bridge for great views. We didn't go to the Blue Pond due to transport logistics and lots of flying insects. Free water bottles and japanese sweets in room. Rooms were nice and clean. The only problem was our 2 rooms didn't have airconditioning, or rather, the central airconditioning is not effective at all. It was too hot to sleep for our 1 night stay in August but we would gladly stay again when it is not that hot."
"Excellent location. Free same-day luggage/bag luggage storage after check out. Some reception staff spoke limited English but eager to help. Very spacious room. Working air-conditioning (visited in August). Clean at first glance but there were ants near kitchen area and bathroom sink. Another consideration for families staying longer is the inconvenience of the toilet and bathroom being together. Despite all this I'd likely stay again for an overnight trip only but please fix your ant problem!"
"Perfect location! Very convenient place to stay as a tourist. The hotel is located on the 5th floor of aeon mall. Right beside the JR station and in front of the bus terminal. Easy to get to places of interest like the must visit zoo. Breakfast is provided. There are also many good food options in the mall. Room is very very big with proper shower and bath tub separately. Love this configuration. For japan standard, this is considered a very good size room. There is a lovely park right in front of the Jr station which we love to take our evening walks. Onsen wise is nice and good size. Just a little crowded when it’s peak hours. Pyjamas and hotel slippers to the onsen is provided . Coin laundry is available too. 3 washer and 3 dryers. This is the most comfortable stay of our 2 weeks in Hokkaido. Felt pampered. Too bad we only stayed for 3 nights and it was at the end of our furano and biei trip… Would love to plan to stay here longer in our next trip, using this hotel as our base to visit furano and biei. Highly recommended."
"Helpful staff, clean, nice onsen. Mechanized parking but free and parking assistance/attendants (they only tell you which machine to park in, and recall your car when you need it) were quick."
"We are a family of four and stayed here for one night. The staff spoke limited English, but they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were able to communicate without any problems.
This is an older, traditional Japanese hotel. It’s not luxurious, but that’s exactly the kind of authentic experience we were looking for.
Guests can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks, including beer, in the lounge, which was a wonderful touch.
My husband and I are heavily tattooed, and we were welcomed into the onsen without any issues, which was a huge bonus for us.
The dinner was excellent! I highly recommend booking a meal plan, as the hotel is located in the mountains and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores nearby.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially relaxing in the onsen. We would happily stay here again!"
