A wonderful “old” European hotel staffed with very friendly persons. The location is simply perfect as it is directly across the street from the beach and sits on the boardwalk where you can stroll for dinner every night and make a few purchases from other retailers. Walking distance to city center for even greater shopping options. A lovely option if you are in the Kalamata area. I would definitely return!

Good location - can walk to many places to eat and beach is across the street. Good breakfast. Did not like the deceptive advertising that parking is available. They do not have a lot or valet parking. Instead you must find a space on a street in the area.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and clean. The sea view was amazing (highly recommended). The sun beds in front of the hotel were provided without charges and the sea was great! The fact that we could have our breakfast by the sea was incredible touch and comfort!

Kalamata is a hidden gem
Room is simple , but clean and sufficient. We had a sea view balcony. The breakfast is very basic. The location is the best, sea across the street, promenade nearby full of bars, restaurants, shops, bus stop. Our family will come to stay again in this lovely hotel, but we won't take the breakfast.

Great place to stay.
Great hotel in the perfect location for those who are on a budget and are looking for a simple place to stay with all amenities. Breakfast was perfect, rooms were clean and comfortable, right across the beach. We used the laundry service, which didn’t cost a lot. Found parking on the street. Would stay here again.

Affordable stay in Kalamata beach
The hotel is a little bit old yet the room are renovated. Breakfast was poor but the overall service was fine. Loved the location as it is next to the beach

Great hotel on the waterfront. Breakfast was excellent with a great range of continental pastries, cereals and fruits as well as a few hot options. View from the balcony was incredible so worth the extra cost to upgrade to those rooms. Lots of nice restaurants in the vicinity.

nice location for beach
Brilliant location for the beach and extremely friendly girl on reception who booked a “full” restaurant for us. Unfortunately the original request for a double deluxe with a king size bed wasn’t fulfilled but alternate room was disappointing as air on didn’t work but on request we where given a slight lower spec room which was disappointing but acceptable

Thank you Hotel Ostria 😀
We chose this hotel for our summer break and we not disappointed. You walk out of the hotel straight onto the veranda/beach cafe and onto the beach then the sea. The hotel was equipped with CoVid safety in mind which added to feeling safe. The staff were exceptional, constantly smiling and saying hello. The breakfast constantly fresh and appetising.

Bathroom was totally unusable. It was so small and had no space whatsoever. The shower could barely fit one person.

Hotel was in a good location and we had a front room with a lovely view over the sea. Staff were helpful and parking just outside hotel was straightforward but it was November !!

Will Return! Great Hotel!
Excellent stay, good clean hotel with great sea views. Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and great location right on the water. Beach chairs you can use for free while staying at hotel. Make sure to walk 20 min to centre of town for dinner! Worth the people watching. Enjoy

The hotel is comfortable and in a lovely situation. Breakfast mediocre and do NOT ask the hotel if you need a cab. I did and was seriously ripped off.

Thank you for your feedback. As far as the taxis go we call the Taxi stand and they send whatever taxi is available at the time you want it. If you had a problem the best thing is to get the number of the taxi and we can take it from there. Not sure on what happened but it would be great if we got your feedback in full detail

Very nice and convenient hotel
Hotel Ostria is in a great location with the beach across the street. Breakfast was pretty good, typical greek hotel variety. Rooms clean and spacious. Only knock was that they do not have hotel parking which their description states. There is free parking on the street but it is misleading to state that the hotel has free parking.
