Tsikeli Boutique Hotel Meteora - Adults Friendly

Tsikeli Boutique Hotel Meteora - Adults Friendly

10/10 Excellent
"Hotel is very nice, clean, with very polite and helpful staff. It is very close (5-10 min drive) to all monasteries, so it has perfect location. Breakfast buffet is great with variety of options to choose from. Parking on the street is in general available but may be challenging if you have bigger car. There are several dinner options within walking distance in local taverns as well as nice restaurant at the hotel."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Kakoplevrion?
The best area to stay in Kakoplevrion is the main village, which offers a central base with easy access to the region's natural beauty and local amenities.

The main village of Kakoplevrion is located in the foothills of the Pindus Mountains, characterised by traditional stone houses and narrow, winding streets. It's built on a hillside, offering impressive views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. The village square, often featuring a plane tree and a local taverna, is typically the heart of activity. You'll find a few small shops for essentials here.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will find the main village particularly appealing. Many accommodations are guesthouses that have been lovingly restored, often with balconies overlooking the stunning scenery. It's an ideal spot for relaxing walks through the village or starting point for hikes into the nearby mountains. The village provides a calm and authentic experience, great for reconnecting.

For travellers interested in outdoor activities and exploring the wider region, staying in the main village offers convenience. It provides good road access to various hiking trails, natural springs, and other small mountain villages.
When is the best time to go to Kakoplevrion?
The best time to go to Kakoplevrion is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

Spring in Kakoplevrion sees the landscape burst into bloom, offering mild temperatures superb for exploring the natural beauty of Thessaly. It's an excellent time for hiking and outdoor activities without the summer heat or winter chill. You'll find the waterfalls are at their most impressive due to the melting snow.

Autumn brings comfortable temperatures and a beautiful display of changing leaf colours across the mountains. The harvest season also means you can experience local produce and festivals. It's ideal for travellers who enjoy scenic drives and a relaxed pace.

While summer (July and August) is popular for those wanting guaranteed sunshine, it can be quite hot, and the area will be busier.
