"I have stayed at Tara Mantra many times as it is a lovely friendly and very comfortable hotel. I stayed a week with friends and we all felt relaxed and made to feel very welcome. My only criticism is that the cooked items in the buffet breakfast are mainly cold even early in the service. "

"Delightful staff. Helpful in the extreme though their English is minimal. A lovely peaceful spot right on the wide sandy beach. Not a lot around and no good restaurants but the chef at Verano Beach is pretty good so, though we had a car, we ate in the hotel every night under the stars. Large, colonial rooms all in white have all the usual amenities but they are a tiny bit tired. Didn't put us off though and we hope to return."

"This was an amazing hotel to look at. It was very quiet and peaceful - but totally in the middle of nowhere. We went into town, hired a moped - but also stayed two nights in Hua Hin over New Year - as they stopped the transfers for a few days - which we didn't know about. Small kitchenette - but without cutlery and plates - i'm sure if we had asked for them it would have been fine.
