We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at this sprawling property on the Llano River. We scheduled our visit around the annular solar eclipse, and this was the perfect spot. Equally as good, though was the view of the nighttime sky. Far away from the city light polution most of us live with, here the stars are more vibrant and plentiful even than as I remembered as a child. We will keep this property on our list of famoly getaway spots for future events.
The home is beautiful and has a wonderful game room. The garage doors and indoor/outdoor feature was a lot of fun. The river is amazing here. Pristine and deep enough to kayak, fish, swim and play. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Three generations gathered together and were able to fit comfortably in the house. We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining room. The Llano river is perfect for kayaking and fishing. We enjoyed seeing axis, listening to turkeys and a variety of birds.
My friends and I had a great time. Water access was perfect and water was cool but not cold. We enjoyed the outdoor area and the indoors.
Had a couple of issues that Austin cleared up right away. All of us want to return with our families!
This ranch house was everything we needed for a great family weekend away from the city! It had great indoor and outdoor spaces! Lots of activities to keep everyone engaged. Short walk to the river which was good for teaching a 6 year old how to fish and skip rocks. Short 5 min car ride to low-water crossing to get wet! Beautiful property!
This house was more beatiful than the pictures. We absolutely loved it. The host is an excellent communicator. All I wanted to do was just sit back and enjoy family time. Very clean and we will rent again!!!
Beautiful area, great views from the property, deer everywhere, very private, huge well-appointed kitchen. Spectacular star views. Nice! A bit tough to get to the river, especially for older folks but wonderful. Watch out for the scorpions.
We loved our stay! This house was perfect for our family. We had so much fun with the ping pong table, corn hole and kayaks! The kids enjoyed fishing and having that direct access to the river. The view was so nice. We also loved the remoteness of the property. It was cool to see deer and turkeys going through the backyard. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything was really nice. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms! We appreciate that the host responded quickly to questions. Hope to visit again.
A lifelong friend and I stayed over 3 day period. We kayaked in the Llano River, and roamed the river and creekbeds rock hunting. Privacy was great; no traffic, no noise, no bothers. Easy access to river. The house was huge for only us two but the location and privacy was the main attraction for us. We sat outside, talked, and watched the animals and the starry skies at night. No problems, very enjoyable stay. House was easily large enough for a large group or couple of families to stay in. We will probably bring our wives and grandkids next time!
We loved the stay at the house! So much fun! The game room and indoor/outdoor room with the huge TV was our favorite! We spent many nights by the fire pit watching a family movie. We had 9 in our group and everyone had room to relax. Huge property with lots of room for kids and the dogs. Very quiet place, which was a nice respite from Houston. During the day, spent all day at the river right in front of the house, skipping rocks and finding fossils. My family has made countless trips out to the Hill Country but this house was one of the best! Owner is super responsive and really cares about his renters! Even went out of his way to retrieve and send a forgotten item. Would definitely stay here again!
Fantastic property with river access and lots of space inside and out!!
We loved our stay! There was plenty of bedrooms for all the family and appreciated that this property had provided all the linens. The open space concept of kitchen, dining, and living room in main part of house was great to enjoy every bit of family time as some were cooking/prepping meals.
The game room, tv room, and bedroom at the far end of the house was perfect for my two boys. We enjoyed a couple games of ping-pong, too.
The river access is a short walk from house and can be driven down to unload kayaks, etc. We very much appreciated the kayak rentals that were available with the property. We took the kayaks out for a bit by the house, but there's a great unloading spot a bit up the road that would then take you down stream towards the house.
We truly enjoyed this family getaway and look forward to returning soon!
The owner was very communicative and quickly responded to all our questions. The house was very clean and welcoming. There was plenty of room for our large group. The facilities were all functional and accommodating. It was very nice to have additions like condiments and seasonings! The outdoor area was nice to sit and enjoy the local wildlife. There were: baby fawns, white-tailed deer, axis, dove, wild turkey, painted buntings, humming birds, and much more! We did enjoy going down to the crossing at KC 413. The teenagers walked up river from there back to the lodge. They were tired! Lol Over all it was a fabulous stay. Thanks again for everything.
