"This was one of our best family vacations yet! Having access to Lake Gaston and the layout of the house was wonderful for our 14 member "squad." We had 3 sets of adults upstairs; 3 singles and a "dorm" of teenagers downstairs. So convenient - the kids had a refrigerator and snacks for the mini downstairs kitchen and we had plenty of room in the fabulously appointed kitchen. There wasn't one appliance or utensil we needed that wasn't there, including grill equipment; skewers, bowls, crock pot, baking sheets and pans, etc. Daniel was extremely responsive answering all my questions timely and helpfully. The dock and floats were a big hit and the provided kayaks worked out for all our watersports. My daughter brought her own board and paddled all of the fingers of Lake Gaston in our area. You can't go wrong with the amenities, location, size, layout and overall charm of this house. Best of all, the deck was shaded most of the day, enabling us to sit out without blazing sun. The sunsets were amazing. Can't say enough..."

"We had an amazing stay at this lake house! The owners were wonderful to communicate with—responsive, helpful, and made everything easy from start to finish. The listing is exactly as shown in the pictures and described, which made arriving and settling in completely stress-free.We traveled with our three young kids, and the house had everything we needed, including a pack ’n play with a mattress, which was such a great convenience for our youngest. The outdoor space was one of our favorite parts. Our whole family spent so much time outside enjoying the lake, and the dock house was incredibly well stocked. Having a refrigerator in the dock house was a huge plus for keeping drinks and snacks for the kids cold, and the lily pad was a favorite!The Blackstone was another standout. It really elevated the whole lake experience and made cooking for our group so easy without having to spend much time inside. It also gave us the extra space when the stovetop was otherwise in use! The location was perfect as well. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, but still close to several stores for last-minute items.Overall, this house was comfortable, family-friendly, well equipped, and gave us everything we needed for a fun and relaxing lake vacation. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it! Can’t wait for our next stay."

"Our week here was perfect! The house was clean and had everything we needed. Lois was so responsive. The location was perfect- close enough to stores but it felt like we were miles away while at the house!! We enjoyed the water- swimming off the dock was so nice and we caught some really big fish in the evenings. Thank you sharing your home!"

"My family of 4, plus our dog, just had the pleasure of spending the past 3 nights at Sunrise Cottage. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. There was homemade cinnamon rolls in the freezer with instructions on how to reheat them, which was such a thoughtful and delicious treat. We spent time on the paddle boards, kayaks and canoe and enjoyed the amazing view. Our dog even made friends with the local dogs, who are very sweet, once they get their barks out lol. We would absolutely love to return sometime."

"Overall the property was big enough for all the family. The property dies need a good deep clean there was lots of cob webs in windows looking over lake. One bedroom downstairs had exposed pipes so no one waned to sleep there. Cleaners crew was there for about 30 minutes past the time to check in. Think worth the money if the upgraded bedroom and did a deep clean inside and out. We did have a wonderful stay and the view is gorgeous."
