Villa De Paz| Fire Pit|Desert Views of Joshua Tree
Summary:
Experience the peace and serenity of Villa de Paz, sitting on over two acres of iconic Joshua Tree landscape, surrounded by sweeping mountain views.
Villa de Paz offers a secluded retreat, off of the beaten path yet still near to downtown JT & the national park entrance. From cozy beds and a fully equipped kitchen, to a relaxing hot tub, fire pit & a charming hammock village. Come unwind under the nightly blanket of stars and soak in all of the magic the desert has to offer.
The Space:
Meaning "House of Peace," Villa de Paz is intended as a place of peace, relaxation and comfort. The space comfortably accommodates a large family or group of 8-10 friends, featuring 2 newly remodeled bathrooms and 3 spacious bedrooms- two with king sized beds, and a bunk room featuring a full size bunk bed large enough for 4 kiddos or two grown adults as well as a twin trundle bed.
The outdoor area has everything you need to make yourself at home, with ample amenities such as comfy lounge furniture, an 8-person dining table, outdoor kitchen and grill, large hot tub, side-by-side cowboy tubs for a cold soak or ice bath, a propane fire pit and a hammock village - all surrounded by bistro lights on the back patio and covered in Joshua Tree's nightly blanket of stars, this unparalleled escape is a restorative experience like no other.
Ideally located on over two private acres, Villa de Paz is also less than 10 minutes to restaurants, shops, art galleries and the famous weekly Saturday Farmer's Market. Joshua Tree National Park is only a short drive away!

The home is regulated with central heating and cooling, and the living room contains a gas fireplace for additional warmth and ambiance.
Kitchen

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the Home, Outdoor Spaces & Laundry Room
The Neighborhood:
Located in the quiet Joshua Tree Heights, minutes from downtown
Getting Around:
You can hike, bike, walk or run. Ride a horse, or borrow a burro, but a car is your best bet to get around our vast High Desert. If you plan on entering Joshua Tree National Park, be sure to have a car to enter!
Other Things to Note:
THE DESERT IS WILD!
- The desert is home to coyotes, spiders, scorpions, wild dogs, bobcats, snakes, large birds of prey, and lots of pokey things!
- It's nearly impossible to keep every bug out, especially if doors are left open or it's been very hot lately. By booking with us you are acknowledging this.
-Although we do our best to keep the spa free of debris, the desert can experience incredibly high winds and it may make its way into the spa.
- Temperature and weather extremes are common including high winds, dust storms, snow, and temperatures ranging from 38-110 F.
- This is California: Wildfires and Earthquakes can happen!
Please prepare, plan, dress, hydrate, apply sunscreen, and supervise children, pets, and loved ones accordingly.

communication was very difficult we tried contacting many times also via vrbo. the house is beautiful but many things were broken and there was no-one to talk to. the babeque did not work, jaccuzi cover was broken so it was not clean and the water was cold, the lights on the porch were flickering so we could not sit outside, the bed was broken....etc
Overall, we had a good time but were disappointed that some of the advertised amenities were either missing or nonfunctional.- Entry code for main entrance was wrong. I had to contact the host to reset the lock. - Electricity in 2 bedrooms didn’t work. I called and they told me to find the breaker box. - We called ahead to make sure the hot tub would be working properly and were assured it would be. Upon arrival, it was cold and full of hair and bugs. Host sent someone to clean it the next day but the temperature did not come up enough to go in until the morning we left (three days later). I messaged through the VRBO app on the second night to get assistance with the tub and received no response.- We also called ahead to have the propane tanks filled and they were not. They filled them the second day but it affected our dinner the first night. We tried to finish cooking our food in the oven but the broiler racks were missing from the oven. - The outdoor rug under the table was in tatters. The good:- the views of the desert from the backyard were beautiful- inside decor was very nice- beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious
